The Four Horseshoes Inn, Thornham

Went here for a meal whilst on holiday in the area and based on the recommendations. we cannot say we were disappointed in the slightest - there was a good a varied menu and all the food was excellent, cooked to order and in good quantities. We opted for desert too, and I can only say - you should too. The staff were supper friendly and accommodating, bringing water and ham trimmings (as much as you get in a portion in some places) for her.

I would thourghly recommend it.

A fantastic pub. Great location, ample parking, beautiful beer garden, super friendly staff and varied menu. I actually go quite regularly.
I recently threw a party at the Horseshoes and Tracy in particular was fantastic in setting up the room and adding so many personal touches - it was more than I ever imagined and am so grateful for the personal service provided.
Great little venue for parties, family dinners, date night or a beer on a bike ride.

Tom & his team are always so friendly and accommodating, we have on a few occasions popped in for an evening meal with my elderly mum and they have always found us an area that mum is comfortable in with a good highish seat for her due to her mobility issues.
We regularly chose to eat/ drink as its so welcoming and friendly even with our boisterous lab who just wants to say Hi to everyone.
Nothing is too much trouble whatsoever.

We took over the entire suite of rooms on the first floor, all of these are very well maintained, quiet, lovely spaces. The en-suite bathrooms are a pleasure to use.

The bar downstairs was our venue for some very tasty cooked breakfasts, with a serving staff that could not have been more helpful and attentive.

Fantastic staff, we were the awkward mixed family group who had specialist dietary requirements, late, dogs, kids you couldn't ask for a harder group to serve. Nothing was a problem, thank you. Great food and drink, combined with a lovely atmosphere and wonderful service. Worth a visit, 5 star.

Love this place. We eat here a few times a year and always have a good experience.

Tonight we attacked their cocktail menu, really nicely prepared and presented cocktails along with a superb roast dinner.

We went here for our Christmas meal. The ambience of the place was lovely. The staff were friendly, attentive and friendly. The food was lovely. Freshly cooked and hot. Spotlessly clean as well. I would highly recommend.

Had a 2 course set meal from
the Xmas menu and it was very disappointing. Poor quality, very small portions and overpriced wine also. This place has certainly dropped in standards massively post covid. Staff were good though but won’t be returning. Shame as this pub used to do superb food.
