Great place to stay and what's good is you are able to take your dog with you.been there twice now once in June and once in July. Going back in September for couple of days.
It's a fantastic place to stay.there a menu which is just kept simple but food is fine.there a pub you can go too its couple of mins walk.
I would recommend this holiday Inn

This is the first time our family have stayed with this company and we were very impressed.
Very clean rooms and bathrooms and very comfortable.
Excellent quiet nights sleep. It felt like the hotel was empty at night so a suprise to see so many families at breakfast.
Coffee needs to be stronger is my only negative.
Staff are very welcoming, polite and helpful.
We will definitely use this company again. Very happy customers thank you.

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids for 2 nights with breakfast for just under £200. When we arrived the room tariff was £189 per night so I'd recommend booking in advance.
The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Room service is available but we didnt use it.
Breakfast is relatively basic but was cooked well and served fresh. Options were sausage, bacon, beans and scrambled egg. 3 types of cereal. Brown and white bread. Croissants and mini muffins. Fruit and plain yogurt. Fruit juices and tea and coffee.

Issues were that the room was too small for a family of 4. The room was stuffy and too warm even with the window open and air con on. The air con was loud and didn't appear to work very well. The duvet was really thick which didnt help with the room being so warm too.

The staff mostly did their best under very challenging circumstances. Many of the rooms, espcially at higher floors, were prohibitively warm on the hottest weekend of the year (30deg+), making it very hard to get comfortable/to sleep. The issues though, would hardly be a concern on a weekend offering the temperatures we're used to in the UK. Bed was comfortable with a cosy mattress protector and the rooms a good size with good lighting (which when used added to the heat in the room). the shower was roomy but I cant speak to the hot water as the only respite was cold showers.
I can't be too critical as the circumstances were exceptional. Lovely hotel other years I've stayed.

Lovely staff on Reception and in Restaurant.
We had a family room/double with sofa bed booked. Initially given double room. Asked Reception about setting up sofa bed and within minutes they had allocated a new room set up for 4. Was cosy with 4 of us, but perfectly suitable still.
Bathroom was lovely and shower really great.
Dinner was delicious (pasta, nachos, veg, chili con carne), although had run out of kids pizza and alternative given ( a pizza twist) wasn't great.
Breakfast was good. We got there 45min before it finished. Some items had run out. Asked for more and some items provided but not fruit.
Overall another good stay for us. Stayed previously in 2018/9. Would stay again.

Myself and two friends stayed Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Bloodstock Festival as did the vast majority of other guests. We have all stayed previously at this hotel for the festival in the past so knew what the hotel is like.
We all had a room each which were clean and tidy.
The staff are very helpful and polite.
The breakfast is very good and there is a good choice of food to set you up for a hard day at a festival!
This weekend also coincided with the heatwave which showed the hotel’s only shortcoming-no air conditioning.
The heat in the rooms at night was unbearable at times even with the cooling fan on which makes a lot of noise but doesn’t actually pump out any air at all never mind cold air.
If you open the window to let a breeze in you get the noise of the A38 all night so you can’t win.
Despite this we all managed to sleep a bit over the weekend so it wasn’t too bad.
The hotel is quite convenient for Bloodstock which is about 15 mins away by taxi which is why it’s so popular.
We’d all happily stay here again if we go to the festival next year so that says a lot.

The hotel is advertised as having air conditioning. I deliberately booked it (out of other options within proximity to Alton Towers) because it had air conditioning (in the midst of a heatwave). It wasn't air conditioning, it was a thermostatic fan that blew out luke warm air at its coolest setting. Really not great given it was 34°c outside during the day.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly by offering me a fan. Not the fault of the staff in the hotel in any way. It's down to the false marketing/ communication on the website. You should remove air conditioning as a feature.

Otherwise a decent stay.

I unfortunately fell ill on my visit, no fault of the company. I was able to put the air-conditioning on full blast and have the heating on and sweat out my fever. The thick, soft duvet and pillows helped me stay comfortable in my time of need and even though I was not up for it, I was able to get a good night sleep every night to have enough energy for class the next day. Wish I could've enjoyed my stay more, but it was very pleasant
