Really pleased to see this wonderful old pub back on its feet and under new management. I have met with friends here a couple of times recently, you are made to feel very welcome and they pull an excellent pint of cider!

Beautiful little country style pub. I did not stay here, just ate and the food was stunning. The portion sizes were enormous and tasted incredible. The menu was fairly small but it was such a treat as all of the food was wonderfully prepared. Chef even came out and spoke to us and he was very friendly. I highly recommend anyone eating here.

Delightful room, on two floors! rather like an apartment.
Owner/chef very charming. Gave a group of us a lift into Yeovil when no taxi turned up. Lovely guy.
Beautiful area generally and so much warmer than home in the North East

All staff very helpful. Room clean and well equipped nice to have a fridge , especially as using as a base for longer journey. Meals very filling and good value. Would definitely stay again.

I liked the room with a motel style door opening to a rear car park. The staff were nice chatty and friendly. The food was great, I had the lamb stew with bubble & squeak. Proper home made food! The breakfast was great nice and tasty. I'll stop here again if in the area 😊

Owner Steve, his Family & Staff are very welcoming, friendly & helpful. Place is clean, room adapted to 4 single beds for us. Breakfast really tasty. They had 18th birthday party in main downstairs room but music off by 11.30 pm. We would definitely return.

I went to this pub to have a lovely meal with my kids, but the service was very poor. I also found a finger nail in with my lasagne, which then put me off my appetite. When I brought this up with the chef (which I think is the owner) he tried to blame it on me. I advise you not to eat here

A wonderful experience, lovely room for our family and our dog. We were made to feel very welcome, the food was wonderful, our dog was made very welcome. What a wonderful little place, and a lovely lake to meander around. Will definitely make it a home base to visit our family again! Thank you everyone for our lovely stay.
