The reception staff are really lovely and very helpful. It's a Travelodge, so for a travelodge it was mostly very clean and practical. The bedsheets were clean and fresh, the bed was large and comfortable, and there was a fan in the room, even though it was a little dirty, was much needed as it was a warm and stuffy evening, and despite being a relatively large room it had only one window, which opened about an inch. The bathroom was very clean, there was soap in the dispenser and I had been allocated one all-purpose towel, which was clean. The toilet however was extremely low to the floor and close to the wall, which might be fine if one is short and slim, but as I am tall and large I found it challenging. There was no-where to set down and open my somewhat muddied suitcase, I had to do so on the small additional child's bed (it was a family room) and risk muddying the sheets. Although the fan was useful while I was sitting at the desk, when I went to bed there was no plug socket near the bed that I could see. So I had to place the fan on the chair as close to the bed as the plug cord would allow. One needs to be a little prepared to stay here, bring your own bottle of water, earplugs, face cloth etc. But it's fine for a cheap night's sleep should you need to stay in Stafford.

Locked Windows, no fridge or something, locked tv (not Chromecast possible) cleaning is a bit low. But the staff is awesome and we could do whatever. Parking is weird and paid. Location is good

Ok, Travelodge accommodation isn't 5 star, but you get what you pay for and this did the job for us. Visiting the Commonwealth Games and parked at Stafford and got the train into Birmingham for the day and evening events. Arrived back to Stafford late and checked into the Travelodge. Received a warm welcome from reception. Parking was easy, a reasonable £4 charge. The rooms basic but clean and had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed and peace and quiet.
Can recommend this hotel for brief stays in the area.

Stayed there last night, though the room was nice and clean there was a lot of noise and music coming from the floor above. I told security guard but he wouldn't listen and was more bothered with a room across the hall. They didn't seem to be making any noise or anything, i'm sure why decided that was the room to investigate and wouldn't listen to me. kind of frustrating and spoiled the stay

Been here a few times and the staff are always friendly to me and the other half. They know how to joke as well.
It’s great for price considering the money issues right now.
Rooms are spacious. The woman was called so and she asked someone called mark to drop me and my belongings off down the road to the train station which I thought was really lovely and kind of them to do 😊 it was appreciated by them both 😊

Small double room. Small bathroom. Both clean. I slept well. My sister, further down the corridor on the above floor, was kept awake by loud guests.
Tiny TV with basic channels. No phone signal in room and they were charging for wifi after 30 first mins free. Wheny step mum had an issue connecting reception told her to call virgin. Not sure why they wouldn't do this for her.
Overall, fine stay. Would stay again. Just dont expect anything too grande and make sure you bring money for parking (was £4 for 24 hours) and validate your parking at reception.

Stayed in family room with dog. Spacious room, has all the facilities you need. Ideally could have had plugs beside bed as only ones are where kettle is. Gave 2 stars as had the worst sleep ever. Facing front of hotel, you can hear everything even with window shut. With the window shut the room becomes a sauna so you can’t win! Also was awoken by a man threatening to stab the receptionist so I’ll seriously consider coming back here especially if I want a half decent sleep! Other than that can’t fault the room for the price

What you would expect from a travelodge - pay for WiFi £3 can add two devices for that. Parking £4 to stay over night. Good places for food and shopping near by.
