It's a pub with rooms so don't expect the Hilton! The corridors are tatty but the rooms are fine and the pub is friendly. Staff are welcoming and friendly, the breakfasts are great and it's good value for money. A lot of contractors use it so they are a bit noisy very early in the morning but I had a good night's sleep. Would stay there again. 3.5 stars.

We have just spent Easter weekend at the Fazeley Inn and wasn't disappointed.
The staff was so lovely, polite, and friendly.
The room was small but just perfect for our needs. Nothing was too much trouble.
The bathroom is a small size but the shower cubicle was a decent size and the water was lovely and hot.
It all looks to be newly decorated in the public areas and the rooms.
The food is very affordable and very tasty.
There is a very nice beer garden and a small park area for children to play including a shelter area and a grassed area which is right by the car park. The car park isn't big but also wasn't a problem for parking or getting out.
We will definitely use the Fazeley Inn again because we plan on taking the family to Drayton manor which is only a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away.It can get noisy with the revelers on a night time due to the location of the rooms and the beer garden. This could be an issue if you have young children or you want an early night. The live band music could be heard from our room which was the furthest away but we aren't light sleepers so this wasn't an issue for us

Well... Where do I start?

I have two requirements for any stay, no matter how cheap a stay. A clean room with basic facilities and the ability to get a good night's sleep.

Let's start with cleanliness. The room is mouldy. To the point where the bathroom ceiling is caked in mould and the paint is peeling off, the shower sealant is black and the bathroom door is rotting at the bottom. and in the main room the area around the window is disintegrating and the blind is mouldy. I'm severely asthmatic and it hugely affected my breathing.

Next, facilities: there are no bins, even in the bathroom. This was a problem for my female friend. The shower was broken. The tap to adjust the temperature was missing. Guess you have to have it at the temperature that they want you to have it. No in room tea or coffee making, though free tea and coffee is available in the bar. The mattresses on the beds are clearly old and worn out and the pillows are like sheets of cardboard.

Finally, the ability to sleep. The room has little ventilation (hence the mould problem), so you have to open a window. Our window opened onto the beer garden where it was very noisy until gone 3am. The pub advertises a closing time of midnight, but it's clearly not the case.

This, combined with the poor bed and the inability to breathe meant I slept for about 2 hours.

It's a shame as the staff are lovely. The rooms just need some serious TLC and the customers need either sending home or bringing inside at closing time to allow overnight guests to sleep. You couldn't pay me to stay here again!

At just over £40 a night, this is a budget accommodation above a pub so it would be unfair to expect the Ritz. Staff are very friendly and check in was quick and efficient. Corridors to the rooms are a bit bleak and room was very basic. No toiletries supplied (not even a bar of soap). Bedding was clean but mattress was shot and desperately needs replacement. Room was tired and needs some TLC. Stained furniture and needs a repaint. Overall it was £43, so as a budget room to get your head down it was ok.

I'm giving this four star review as personally, in my opinion. The reasons for the negative reviews left by others didn't bother me in the slightest. I found the cleanliness of the rooms to be perfectly adequate. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic value for money.
The location is quite prime, everything required within a stone's throw.
Close to a large retail park. Activities closeby, even within walking distance.
I stayed with my partner recently for 5 nights, two of which extensions to our trip.
I was definitely happy with the stay on the whole and will be returning and will review again.
Maintain a level of reasonability toward expectations and I am quite sure you would enjoy the stay. Nothing is perfect, anywhere.

In the Fazeley Inn I felt a warm welcome. Had all required amenities available and definitely got very good value for money.

Thank you Fazeley Inn. I'll see you again soon.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 22. We had a triple room on the 2nd floor (up 2 flights of stairs). The room was clean and a decent size. The beds were comfortable.

There was no kettle in the room, but there was tea and coffee you could help yourself to in the bar area.

The pub has a small car park and if you can’t get in there is parking on the street.

There is a separate entrance for when the pub is closed.

We had a nice cooked breakfast each morning for £3.

We travelled from North Wales to a here and now festival. The welcome was lovely. The room looked good but no toiletries, only soap. We had the worst nights sleep, it was extremely hot with no fans or aircon available. On taking the quilt out of the cover the quilt was covered in stains! Our friends who came with us, who came from nz had 2 single beds in another room had a worse night with no cold water and the noise of running water from the cistern keeping them awake. We won't be back. Very disappointing!

Staff were nice enough, but the mattresses were bad, completely sunken in the middle. No cold water in the shower, and no fan despite the heat. Heat can't be controlled but fans are easy to purchase and the heat was expected. Won't be staying there again.
