Beautiful hotel with exquisite service, on par with some of the finest hotels in the country. We had a lovely, upgraded room at no extra cost looking onto All Souls College. For the friendly staff here, nothing is too much trouble, the food is wonderful and the evening turn-down service was second to none with two staff renewing towels, checking stock, emptying bins and generally making sure that you want for nothing. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Faultless stay. Thank you, Old Bank.

I love this place! By far one of the most special places in Oxford and now a home away from home. Modern and comfortable, a bit expensive but there really isn’t much competition. Great breakfasts and great staff too. They are also well connected into wonderful other things to do in Oxford and they will recommend sister restaurants and places in town.

As always a great experience!
We went for an afternoon tea, the waitering staff were kind and very nice.
It's a beautiful place to enjoy a meal or just a drink. We were sat in the garden, it has a relaxed atmosphere with the sound of the water from the fountain.

Planned to treat my daughter to afternoon tea after a trip to the Botanic Gardens. We didn't get afternoon tea! We arrived at 3.50pm, well after lunchtime, our reception on asking for a table was a little awkward. Can't quite put my finger on why, but it almost felt like an interruption. The terrace was full as it was a blistering hot day, but totally empty inside so we were led to the depths of the dining area. I was given a perplexed look when I asked for a table by the window instead. When we were seated I asked for the Afternoon Tea menu and after a long delay a member of waiting staff arrived with a full dinner and drinks menu, but with no afternoon tea on it. By the time we had settled and realised, they'd gone. My daughter (a teen) was so ravenous I decided to order something quickly rather than have any more delays, and have the hunger grumps from across the table. The food itself was lovely. It then took a long time to attract anyone's attention for the bill. Disappointed with the service, and left feeling uncomfortable with the whole experience. Up until 4 yrs ago we used to go for afternoon tea quite often and it was always lovely and friendly with great service.

We had dinner in the outside section on a glorious evening. The food was excellent and the service attentive without being intrusive. A very enjoyable evening.

I have stayed many times at this hotel. The staff are lovely, the rooms really comfy and well stocked (I was upgraded this time) and it's a brilliant location for Central Oxford. I enjoyed a great curry in Quod, which has a superb wine list. One of my favourite hotels that never disappoints.
