Visited with family on one of the hottest days in history! Located in a lovely cool space for our meal.

We visited on a Sunday and a few of our party wanted a roast. The choices were lamb or beef, which was disappointing. Both meals came out and looked lovely, but the meat was not great quality. Chewy was the overall feeling.

I had a salad and I have to say it was delicious. Salad is so under-rated. But it does have to be a good one when you're paying the crazy prices that they charge at eateries though!

Childrens meals were really disappointing. I like to see that venues have considered how varied children's appetites can be. I like to see a pasta option, something like fish fingers and mash, and maybe a jacket potato with beans. Something that really can span a lot of different food groups, not just smaller versions of the roasts and a token dinner with chips.

We'd probably visit again, but it wouldn't make my top 5 venues.

We didn’t stay in a room , but ate in the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We had a main and a pudding and left feeling not overfilled but satisfied. I highly recommend the lamb rump. A very warm welcome and excellent service. Highly recommend eating here .

Stayed here during August, whilst on business. On arrival I was greeted by the resident dog, which moults, a lot! No one on reception, when I did get my key card it was nothing but trouble and temperamental, the room was basic some what dated and could do with a deep clean to say the least, I don’t want to know what half the stains/marks/drips are. The toilet seat was broken the whole of my stay. The staff in the restaurant seemed pleasant enough, couldn’t say the same for the ‘blonde’ cleaner, I didn’t catch her name but I could hear her, she needs to remember the walls are thin and that customers can hear everything, she sounds snappy and for sure there are chunks out of the walls the way she throws the hoover around in the mornings. This should have been an easy stay over but I won’t be back, no matter how convenient, wouldn’t recommend!

We met up here with the family, there is a group of eight of us. They were very accommodating, plenty of parking it’s conveniently located to the M5 motorway, and 15 minutes away from Weston-super-Mare and Burnham on Sea.

We went there for lunch on a Sunday the atmosphere was really nice, the food was lovely and the desserts were to die for.

There is a family old labrador, there as well. Great place

The customer service at this hotel was exceptional. I stayed a couple of nights, to be with a friend whose dog had been admitted to the nearby specialist vet. It was a difficult time and the staff could not have been more sympathetic or helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is convenient for the M5, easy to find and parking is plentiful. The rooms are large, clean, light and airy. The dog-friendly rooms have laminate flooring and there is a grassy area outside. In my room, the bed was really comfortable and the shower was powerful. There are complimentary toiletries, fluffy towels and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel is on the main road but I didn't notice the traffic noise at night. Really good value.

I usually stay at Fox and Goose because it’s dog friendly and convenient but this time my little dog stayed at home. How delightful to see that some of the rooms have been revamped and they look lovely, modern and clean.
I had dinner there one evening and will return just to eat the very best Apple & raspberry crumble I’ve ever tasted. The crumble is crispy and the apple is sharp just as it should be. Many restaurants should learn how to bake this.
I invited a friend to join me for breakfast and that was also delicious. I will happily be returning shortly and inviting friends to join me for dinner.

We visited for lunch with our cousins. There was a warm welcome awaiting us. The menu gave a good choice of courses - something for everyone. Service was excellent and the food was cooked to perfection. There was no pressure on us to leave after the meal and we were able to stay and have a good natter. This was not our first visit and will not be our last. We did not see the rooms so cannot give any stars for that category

Booked a meal here last night to meet up with the family. Have eaten here many times on family occasions so we were confident with our choice of venue. How wrong can you be. We weren't even shown to our table just pointed in the right direction. There was no draught beer at allat the bar.We had to collect our own menus from the bar. The menu choices were disappointing to say the least nothing like the menu on the website that we were expecting. The starters came - a handful of
Mushrooms on a soggy piece of bread. No decoration of any kind. After a 20 minute wait looking at empty plates I took them to the bar and asked for our mains. 30 minutes later they arrived. 3 out of 6 were sent back to the kitchen cold. The lasagne was solid and still cold in the middleThe steak was overcooked and the chicken was drowned in bbq sauce. The gammon was nice! We waited an hour and a quarter for this dreadful meal! Of course we complained but the lady in charge could only apologise and blame it on the lack of staff! No offer of a drink or dessert to compensate for over £110 worth of badly cooked food. Never again. I do not know how a restaurant can change so much. Completely ruined or xmas get together.
