We booked are wedding here back in 2019 for 2020 but due to covid it had be rearrange a couple of times and we eventually got married on 6/5/22. The staff we're very helpful and understanding. Catherine how helped plan and make are wedding day happen was very friendly, helpful and lovely to work with.
I stayed in the hotel the night before with my bridesmaids, the room was clean, tidy and well presented. All the staff on the day and the night before were very friendly and always polite and attentive.
Our family and friends were looked after so well and said the food was delicious which they fed back to us. So a big thank you to the kitchen team for their hard work on the amazing food.
I would a 100% recommend booking an event or having a meal at the Kings Arms.
Thank you again so much for making our day so special. X

Always good. We go most weeks. Great food, but also a really good night out in the bar at the rear. Service is excellent, and the music is top notch, if you are looking for a relaxing mood, rather than a disco drum beat. Both have their place, this is as good as it gets if you want the former.

What an excellent hotel. The service was, I would say, the best I have ever received. I travel a lot for work so have many to judge against and thus is definitely the best. From the moment we arrived to the last minute of leaving the whole experience exceeded my expectations. The room was large and well decorated. It felt luxurious and was very comfy. The breakfast was excellent and I have to congratulate the staff. Pauline, Dean, Jenny and the Operations Manager Leszek. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was professional, friendly and efficient. Well done. I would have given a 6 if I could.

DISAPPOINTING. Not great service, eventually went to front bar for drinks as rear bar without staff although not sectioned off,.First bartender poured drinks ,then asked second bartender to present account. No special service yet added service charge . Beware. Small pot of nuts which consisted mainly of (dried peas?) perhaps 7 nuts for £4 what a joke
Atmosphere poor, felt as if they are only interested in taking as much money as they can off you. The staff act in an off hand manor, do they not realise being pleasant and down to earth is a much nicer way to be and that they do not need to put on an act that is pure stupid and unnecessary

Have just had a sunday lunch here. Whilst the roast was lovely, it was a little dry, for our taste, so my friend and I asked for extra gravy, which was no problem and up came a small jug, half filled with an amount of gravy that equated to 2 tablespoons each.

When it came to paying the bill we discovered we had been charged an extra £3.00 for the very meagre offering of gravy.

We did show our dissatisfaction that not only were we charged extra but also that we were not told, at point of ordering, that it would be extra. The reply to our complaint was 'its upto the chef that you are charged'.

It was my first time here but will now sadly be my last.

Staff very friendly and attentive.

Jan was absolutely excellent, he made our experience so lovely, he was kind attentive and always on the ball to make sure we had whatever was needed. James was also brilliant, a great meal and drinks we really couldn’t fault anything. Would recommend to everyone.

Great new menu just launched at The Kings Arms.
15MILE-£15
Two course £15
Three courses £20
We enjoyed the terrine and roasted carrot soup for starters and the plaice cutlet and spicy chorizo sausage and mash for mains.

If you have room for dessert then I recommend the crumble and custard.
