Definitely recommend this place. Love the fact the spa, restaurant are in different buildings.. makes it feel not just a hotel. The customer service is outstanding and Definitely know what customer service means. Making the customer feel valved is at the top of they list. Highly recommended on this area alone. The staff in the spa to the receptionist and staff in the restaurant all outstanding..food was lovely and a big shout out to MATTHEW in the restaurant he definitely puts the customer first... the room was lovely, bath room a little small but its a lovely place to come and chill. Relax and walk the canal to the little pub along the way. But overall comment has to be the customer service. Your staff make the place outstanding.. excellent

A fabulous place , with fantastic offers for everyone. The package I elected for was for my sisters birthday. The spa was great, sadly the artic room was not in use but everything else was available to access. We had a wonderful treatment, which was heavenly. The food was great, personally I would have liked more vegan options but they had vegan option which in itself is great. So I mustn't grumble. The rooms were fine comfortable and clean. Apparently there was a wedding on, my faithful earplugs worked a treat! I look forward to a return visit soon.

Hi I have been meaning to share my thoughts on Lion Quays for while. We stayed for two nights. The rooms were good, but the food and service was absolutely excellent. I also booked some SPA treatments and the facilities were amazing. More importantly the quality of the staff in the spa were excellent. Sara was fantastic, she was so customer focused and actually made my weekend. She also supported me in using an fabulous piece of meditation equipment that works on beta and theta and produces the most relaxing meditation. Well worth a visit. Sara deserves a wage increase

The hotel has an air of being past it's best and could do with a refit, nothing serious but when you pay over £200 a night there shouldn't be rotten door frames, musty bathroom smells.
The food is excellent and the staff on the whole efficient.
The wedding venue was again just a little tatty, with the garden being on the surface an amazing venue for a wedding but a closer inspection shows an air of lack of attention to detail.

A very beautiful location and hotel

We moored our boat for free on the picturesque water front. It was peaceful but nearby traffic can be heard. Be aware that silt has built up.

The restaurant was busy, but there was adequate staffing numbers. Young staff did their best to keep on top of things

The food was prepared well enough, and whilst a little expensive was as expected for such an establishment.

The reason for a one star review is because my wife must eat a strictly gluten free diet otherwise she will become extremely ill. The staff were made aware of this. Sadly when her steak was served there was elements containing gluten on the plate. So effectively my wife was served a plate of poison.

I’m sure that this will be addressed and that no one else who makes the establishment aware of food intolerances will have their food compromised be ineptitude.

We were really impressed by all the lovely helpful staff at the hotel. Amelia in particular was extremely efficient and helpful. Our room (316) overlooked the canal and was clean and comfortable. The choice of food on the menu was excellent and the service was really good. Overall a very positive experience.

Staff are brilliant. So helpful and friendly. Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they really went the extra mile to make it feel special. Even a glass of Buck’s Fizz at breakfast. The breakfast was also great and the room and spa facilities top notch. Definitely will be coming back.

Room was fine, lovely views. Bathroom was tiny but you're not there for a prolonged time so it was no bother. We had a deal online, SPA with thermal suite, overnight stay, three course meal with no value restrictions and breakfast. Right next to the main road but you can barely hear that when the windows are shut

SPA - Now considering this was the reason for our stay this was most disappointing. A lot of things were out of use, steam room had nobs missing from the shower, tiles were missing off the walls, dangerously slippy. The 'experience' showers were well, an experience in that half the sprayers were missing so couldn't be used! The ice shower was out of service, the cocoon area is literally in a stairwell so in view of EVERYONE coming down the stairs. Hibernation room was freezing and full of chatty Cathy's, not really what you want from a hibernation room i'll be honest.

Food - The food was amazing, the deal we had through off peak luxury was cheaper than the website direct with the direct deal being a three course restricted value meal, where as we had the unrestricted three courses plus sides. It was amazing, the steak was cooked exactly how we asked for it and so flavoursome. The service was amazing, very attentive and friendly staff
