A good location central to the town (not the city centre so slightly quieter but the town centre so all amenities are close at hand) with friendly staff and comfy rooms. The rooms were very hot, but a sheet had been placed in the room with suggestions on helping to manage the temperature. They have a 'restaurant' downstairs. It is a little small for the number of rooms and people will just sit and chat after they have finished taking up necessary room. Not the fault of the staff I know but it was annoying. The staff worked very hard to accommodate everyone and were helpful. There was a slight confusion about my wife's veggie sausages, but we got them eventually. The country park is about 10 minutes down the road and is a nice place for a walk. In fact it is quite convenient for a number of visitor attractions.

Unbearable.. didn’t realise there was no air conditioning (my fault because I just presumed). On our third night we actually booked into the cinema just so we could get some sleep in a cool environment! A fan was provided but this does nothing to cool a room that was 33*. It was extremely difficult to get ready for the wedding we were attending as just too warm! Such a shame because the staff are lovely, had to wait a while for breakfast on the second day because the chef had gone for a (very well deserved) break… the breakfast room was stuffy enough, I can’t imagine what working in the small kitchen was like !! Didn’t even bother with breakfast on day 3, just wanted to leave and get out of there! Avoid in summer, will probably be great for winter!

I love Premier Inn's but this was the worst one ever!! Cob webs, lots of big spiders, smelt like a gutter, hair found in the bathroom, blood stain on the duvet, some sort of fluff around the carpet by the window - to name a few!!

We stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding as it was close by. But this was horrible!!

Staff were friendly but cleanliness a big ZERO!

We stayed in room 222 on 12th September. We had been to a funeral and arrived very tired, emotionally and physically. The hotel is very tired and in need of a refit. The public areas were dirty, the lift especially and the corridor leafing to our room had a distinct smell of weed.
The room was pokey and definitely not designed for a tall person. The bed was the most uncomfortable premier inn bed I'd ever slept in and the room was too hot, although the public ares were a reasonable temperature so it must be something about the rooms that make them unbearably hot.
I'm very disappointed with how premier inns have become. I shall definitely not be using this premier inn again. I paid £70 for one night without breakfast. Definitely not the value for money I'm used to from premier inn. Shame on you

Most disappointing breakfast ever

We stayed 2 nights and the continual breakfast were so sad. No croissants or chocolate croissants on the first day. The 2nd was even worst: no croissants, no chocolate croissants, no pancakes. No milk in expresso machine, thus no cappuccino

Then the room. No AC! We're late September and it was so hot. Other review from this summer stated that they couldn't handle it, and I can see why.
We had a family room and there was no mini fridge to keep the kids milk cool.
The bathroom extractor fan was not working.

They also only gave us 1 key card which makes it hard to split our family in two (you need the card to pass a couple of doors before the room)

Positive point: the room is clean, the beds are fine and the staff is nice

I feel 2 stars is a bit generous, but one star would be harsh as the staff was nice

We stayed here because it was close to City Hospital and my husband was booked in for an operation there. He had the op, came out of hospital and within 2 hours was back in with an infection. The staff were so kind and helpful, they were just great. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
