Flackley Ash Hotel & Restaurant

We stayed here this weekend and it was delightful! The staff were very friendly and the room was nice. Perfect for a night away from the city.

A really lovely building and the gardens were also pretty and restful.

The room was comfortable and quiet, we slept well and the room was provided a fan which is also really kind!

Great pool and facilities, I was really impressed with the size and how clean it was.

My only criticism was the avocado on toast the bread was quite soggy and bland; I don't believe it was sourdough it tasted more like the sliced bread you get with frozen garlic bread.

We will definitely be coming again! thanks again

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff in a great location. Nice sized swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too. Ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing with a 3 course meal and drink coming in at about £40. Highly recommended and will stay here again.

Nothing is perfect and problem with room lock quickly sorted, and problem with dinner likewise and be prepared for a wait
Don't be put of by the fact there were two issues, they were resolved quickly and professionally so please see it as positive. If something does go wrong it will be quickly and correctly remedied.
Only dropping a star because of this and the sauna rooms are his and hers so unable to sit in with partner, but others may find this to their preference. Steam room was shared and jacuzzi and pool were lovely.

I stayed here this weekend and overall I am impressed! I stayed here on my own and I felt very safe. The staff were great and welcoming. I had a massage done by Amy which was amazing and so was she. My room was ideal - everything you needed and the bed was comfortable. Only thing I would say is it could do with an update. The pool was great especially if you time it well, I pretty much had it all to myself which was incredibly peaceful. The location was perfect, only a 5 min drive to Rye - Rye is a must, so beautiful. Only a 10 min drive down to Camber Sands too. I will be back :)

I can't tell you how much of a brilliant stay we had at the Flackley Ash Hotel. Beautiful grounds, great breakfast (& dinner) and I have not even mentioned the pool yet, which was clean, WARM and a pleasure to use daily. Hot tub was great for my sore back. The staff were amazingly friendly from the moment we arrived. I will definitely stay here again.

A bit unfortunate - very scruffy room at the top of the building, hot water takes ages to come through then it is scalding, papered over ceiling cracks, paper hanging off the ceiling. We were charged twice for the room which, although it was an accident on their part, shouldn't really be happening at £140 per night. The food was EXCELLENT. We didn't use the pool or sauna but maybe that would have made our stay more like a 7 out of ten rather than a 5 which I'm going to give it. Stunning location tho 🤗

Lovely hotel, didn't explore everything but wish I had. Beautiful building. Extremely clean room, lovely bathroom, bath products. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Next time I will stay longer. Food exquisite, generous portions, both dinner and breakfast and reasonably priced. Can't recommend it highly enough. Friendly and welcoming staff

We've had a lovely stay so far and the food is delicious, the hotel itself is beautiful. We had originally booked a standard double but due to an issue in our room on the 2nd day we were upgraded to a superior double which was fantastic. Wonderful customer service, we would definitely like to visit again.
