Fabulous hotel and location for weddings. Great thoughtful and helpful staff made our two days very special. Great breakfast, excellent room service sandwiches and soup. Lovely evening meals although same menu both nights there was slight variations in type of steak. Fab wine list. Highly recommended only let down slightly by untidy garden and some rotting timbers on the façade

Magical place to stay; we stayed in the duke room and we felt privileged to be able to enjoy this room with it’s luxurious four poster bed, huge shower in the turret, freestanding bath and not to mention the view! However a couple of things let our stay down; no fridge or mini bar in the room, no robes or slippers. Some of the tiles in the bathroom were badly cracked and need replacing. The worst thing, however, which really was poor was breakfast on our final morning. Very sloppy service, the continental buffet was half empty; with no serving cutlery and they had completely run out of all juices (at 7.15am and we were the first people at breakfast!), no toast, wrong eggs arrived. It was a bit of a disappointment.

Stayed here with family around early March '22.
Won't give you the full story however it was an emotional trip as we were scattering relatives Ashes and it was my late grandmothers favourite place to stay who had passed months earlier.

From start to finish, the service we received was excellent and the rooms were immaculate.
The place is HUGE and has the most beautiful view of the surrounding waters and hills. Try not to get lost in the winding garderns either!

Big shout out to Tom, who was the most fantastic night porter and he was extremely helpful and welcoming. He tried to find my grandmothers records when she was here and also helped on our last night there when there was a slight disturbance. He truly is an asset to the hotel and made our experience a special one. I've been meaning to write this for a while, if he hasn't already.. give Tom a pay rise or promotion!

Only thing I can say is parking outside hotel is a little hit and miss as no spaces and hard to manoeuvre back out. If you are travelling with a few cars, best to park a few in the other car park below and send one car into the main drive to check for spaces.

Room needed a touch up and a lick of paint, food was good however service dropped off dramatically when a wedding appeared, leaving us feeling forgotten and waiting large periods of time between even seeing staff. Felt like there was a lack of staff to keep up with demand and the staff there were obviously very out of their depth with the workload

The chateau Rhianfa is the most amazing place to stay. We had our wedding there and we cannot fault it. From booking it 12mths ago to leaving today everyone was amazing!! From the reception staff to the house keeping staff everyone is so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay and special day perfect. A special shout out to Elin, James and especially Lewis who looked after us so well. Our rooms were beautiful and clean. The menu is out of this world and so delicious. We would definitely recommend and will be back 🥰

This place is stunning, as soon as you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and the open fires. All the rooms are gorgeous, the communal areas and the gardens down to the waterside -beautiful. Breakfast is a triumph. The staff were courteous and friendly. So why only 4 stars….?

Unfortunately the evening meal let it down. Cost wise it is at the upper end unfortunately taste wise it didn’t hit the mark. And neither did the dinner service. We waited 20 mins for our drink order to arrive, the bread we ordered with the incredibly strange but appealing sounding custard never appeared. The San Fran fish stew was incredibly bland tasting only of tomato’s and the fish in it was overdone. A real shame, my colleague had the Beef Wellington which was admittedly cooked well but at £57 the pastry was just fine, as were the sides. Perhaps the chef was having an off day.

All in all I would 100% stay here again but the menu prices to quality ratio needs looking at .

Our perfect gift from the family for our golden wedding. From stepping into Rhianfa we were treated so professionally and with such delight.
Everything was amazing . Even the glorious Welsh precipitation and mist didn't faze us. The accommodation was comfy and spacious. Meals delicious.

We arrived Christmas eve and departed the day after boxing day, everything in-between was excellent. Our room was situated in the basement right next to the lift and along the corridor from the restaurant and morning room. We had the biggest wet room imaginable as it was set in one of the chateaus turrets. The soaps, gels and shampoos provided were really good quality, as were the bed linens, towels and robes.
The day rooms two floors up were steeped in history. The whole of the chateau and gardens were very interesting.
The staff were very friendly, helpful & proficient in their tasks.
The food was very good. Very, very flavoursome and generous portions. A nice touch were the bowls of chocolates situated around the rooms and teas and coffee were complimentary. A fantastic place to sit and quietly while away the hours with your own thoughts or reading a book or just idly chatting with fellow guests. So good we booked again for next year.
