Friendly staff but faulty lights, WiFi (which was a paid-for extra) and stained carpet - daily cleaning fine but could do with deep clean. Reception was unmanned half the time.

On arrival the building looked like it could use a good clean. We were met at the reception desk to a very strong smell of BO. The room itself was clean, could have done with more tea and coffee. Was woken the next morning at 5am from the room above, sounded like a heard of elephants! We were then woken up a little later, when the fire alarm went off. Obviously someone can't read and left the door open whilst showering. Overall it was very expensive for just the room, we didn't buy breakfast, instead went across the road to Lidl.

Great place to stay, in easy reach of amenities, only a short drive to park and walk into Caerphilly. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again

Stained carpet like someone had *** over it, creaky bed that tou could feel the springs through, window lever was wobbly, not many positive things to say about this hotel other than I guess it's better than sleeping on a park bench like a homeless person, but that's about it, reception rarely had anyone at the desk,

Stayed here with my wife and 2 children. Upon arrival the receptionist told us that she wasn’t sure if our room was made up or not…errmm ok bare in mind check in was at 3pm and this was just after 4pm!! Once we got up to the room we opened the door and was greeted with a very strong smell of smoke which was so strong that even the open window didn’t clear it. The children’s beds were still packed under the double bed and there was no bedding on them just exposed dirty mattresses. Only 2 towels and pillows provided. I went back down to reception and she brought up bedding for the children’s beds…..which we had to fit ourselves! Overall not a great place to stay.

Unfortunately one of the worst hotel stays. Really unpleasant smell upon entry to the room. Bathroom bleached so excessively it’s like entering a morgue but at least it’s clean. No A/C function.

Friendly staff and clean rooms good links to local amenities and Cardiff. 10/10 ticked all boxes for a cheap weekend visit.

Look it's a travel lodge famous for its no frills budget approach.. It's not the Hilton but the hotel is very clean and our room was comfy and quiet, its also £30 cheaper than Cardiff and only 9 miles from central Cardiff
