I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express at Cardiff Airport. The staff are so nice and nothing is too much trouble for any one of them. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good but I do think the plates could be slightly bigger as they are virtually the size of a side plate. Evening meal was good. Shuttle to and from airport is great. We stayed the night before we flew and also on our return which makes our holiday that little bit longer. We will definitely use this hotel again.

We needed an overnight stay due to scheduled late arrival at Cardiff Airport before heading for home in Yorkshire.
I was a little concerned that the very reasonable room rate would have resulted in ultra basic facilities. However, I was delighted when checking in by the excellent staff on reception, the size, cleanliness and comfort of the room and the facilities available. Obviously the Covid related restrictions did have an impact but did not detract from our overall impression of the hotel. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. For the price this is an excellent choice of hotel. It is comfortable, clean, ideally situated for not only the airport but also for visiting the surrounding area. The staff are friendly, efficient and happy to help. There is a good choice of food and drink for breakfast. The rooms have recently been upgraded and the now larger beds are a particular favourite. Great to have a proper solid shower door thus stopping the bathroom floor from becoming wet. A lovely, relaxing place to book a stay. Well done to the team at Cardiff Airport Holiday Inn Express.

Such a nice property, excellent welcoming front desk staff. Arrived late night and spoke to Richard on the way who made sure our room was ready for key pick up that was very nice.
Housekeeping can improve as they forgot to hoover the room.
Overall Location is great overlooking the airport runway, for Barry island and some nice sea view points.
I will definitely recommend and go back to stay at this excellent hotel.

We always stay at the holiday inn express in Cardiff airport. Our children know it’s the beginning of our holiday when we arrive here. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We couldn’t ask for better service or value for money with the parking included. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we always have a good nights sleep.
The only thing I can think of as a negative is as that our shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold.
We didn’t mention it to the staff on duty because it wasn’t the end of the world and they have always been very welcoming to us.

Amazing, the staff were fantastic. We had landed in the early hours of the morning, I phoned to be picked up, and was totally shocked the shuttle was no longer running . No one had said this when I booked , but it is on the website which I hadn’t used to book. Rochelle the receptionist I phoned was awesome, she explained where to go and how quick it was and she stayed on the phone with me until I could see the hotel, she then got a colleague to come to meet us. WOW what service. We were able to go through the back entrance and check in was speedy and easy two pots of pens one for used and one for sterilised ones .

Even though the hotel isn't open for the public for you to stay in you can still use the carpark for long stay flights from Cardiff Airport, went to book the car in today (12/06/22) and the receptionist Siàn was very helpful even explained to use the best way to get to the airport once we drop the car off in the morning (13/06/22). Would highly recommend using them for carpark.

Truly awful experience. Booked in advance only to be told on arrival that hotel wS full. Then was told they would pay for a hotel nearby as it was their mistake! Then changed there mind and said there may be room at a hotel on the other side of cardifff and they wouldn't be paying anything towards? Also I had to chase them for a refund. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
