Booked last minute for 1 night staff went the extra mile. In a excellent location. Parking could be a problem we managed to use their carpark.
Room clean facilities good breakfast exceptional (it was busy but worth waiting). The 2 waiters were courteous and helpful 😀.
Would recommend 👌

This was recommended by the guy sitting next to me on my flight from US to London. I really did not expect to find it and I wasn't even looking for it! Went on a cruise excursion to Caernarfon and walked around and accidentally found it. Had Welsh gin, fish and chips, Welsh pie. Very nice experience. We sat in the front but there was also outdoor seating and a large dining room.

Only managed the time for a quick drink last Saturday, wish we could have spent more time there. The staff were very considerate and the food looked copious and well presented. We will be back.

Stayed for 2 nights a few weeks back. Really quirky venue, cosy, lots of character and history. Friendly staff and great location! Breakfast was very nice, definitely stay again.

Only downside is you have to pay £10 per night for the car park or for free down the road.

I had three evening meals last week but was staying elsewhere. Each meal, and the beer, was fabulous and I'll definitely visit again when in the area. Thank you all.

No dogs allowed so couldn't go in. Such a shame as so many people take their dogs to Wales. Was told very abruptly by a not such a gentleman sat at the bar to 'go sit outside'. Was he the bar manager. Anyway found somewhere else that does allow dogs and had a great meal. Funny enough there were three other couples that were told the same. Manners cost nothing!!!

The name notwithstanding, the Black Boy is the prototypical British pub - a decent selection of beer and great atmosphere. We did not have anything to eat, so I can't speak to the food quality. Nor did we stay here, so I can't speak to the quality of the rooms either. Service in the pub was a bit slow, having to search for someone to pull a pint, but it was a great place to share a couple of pints with Welsh cousins inside the ancient city walls.
