Overall, honest, thoughtful and reliable garage. Would go to them again.
Rude, clueless staff who thrive on ripping you off!
It all started off when my Jeep’s central locking stopped working. I was told by the the technician that the entire immobiliser system had to be replaced at a cost of £2600, which I agreed to. Had it “fixed” and got 2 new sets of keys. Drove home and problem started again! Took it straight back and was told that the battery was dead even though they were brand new keys.
Key battery replaced, drove home and the problem still persisted. Took it back for a third time and was asked if I had sat or stood on the key!
Eventually after numerous trips to and from this dealership, the problem was resolved. I hoped this would be the end of my nightmare but little did I know more was to come.
3 days post fixing the central locking issue my car illuminated an engine management light. Took it straight to them once again to be told it was a faulty mass air flow meter. Replaced at a cost of £600. Collected the car and driving home and surprise surprise, the engine management light had illuminated once again. Took it to them yet again to only be told that it’s an EGR valve which would cost £1000’s! I decided to collect the car without replacing any parts as I had completely lost faith in this dealership to only be greeted with a defective headlight. Questioned the issue to only be told that the entire headlight assembly needed replacing at a cost of an additional £1200.
Feeling robbed, baffled and confused, I decided to get a second opinion from an independent garage who told me that the issue was still indeed a faulty mass air flow meter. I am now completely out of pocket, my car had been returned to me with £1000’s worth of damages and issues when I had initially walked in to replace a key. I am a key worker and had to rely on this car as my only mode of transport to support my patients.
PLEASE I ADVISE YOU DO NOT GO TO JEEP TUMBRIDGE WELLS. They charge you unnecessarily, they don’t know what’s going on half the time, and they are a RIP OFF!!!!
