Many thanks to Dean Smith-Drouet in providing a perfect experience buying my latest car from Hendy in Salisbury. Dean could not do enough to help me through the process via phone or email. Normally when the purchase of a new car is complete that’s the end of the salesman professionalism... I have spoken to Dean since, his did not change.

I had the most perfect experience purchasing my vehicle from Reece Friend at Salisbury Land Rover. He turned a very difficult time for me into a pleasant experience. This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from here and I wouldn't buy from anywhere else.

Stay clear! Brought a brand new Range Rover evoque and it came with extras! faulty parts, this did get fixed. Same part going to be replaced for the second time.
They call me the morning of when it’s meant to be in for repairs to cancel as the part hasn’t come it. I would not normally mind but as they have had 18 days to get this part I do mind. Also l am still waiting for two call backs, one has been for over four months now!
Terrible service stay clear.

Range Rover Velar purchased Christmas Eve 2021. Within 6 weeks of purchase smoke bellowing from bonnet. After inspection it was identified that there was a faulty turbo and required replacement. Issues with obtaining hire vehicle during time vehicle remained with garage. Between May - June 2022 vehicle appearing limp on starting, reported to local Land Rover garage who later identified oil leak into engine requiring new engine. No end of issues obtaining a hire car AGAIN. No help from Land Rover garages at all. Quick to dismiss complaints or concerns. In total have been without this vehicle for over a month since purchase. Hendy do not want to acknowledge the issues or faults were likely there upon purchase. Hendy continue to push back to the local Land Rover garage refusing to raise my official complaint until another complaint (not raised by myself) in regard to the hire car has been resolved by local garage. Premium service / product? I don’t think so! In the 16 years I’ve been driving, this is by far the worse vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. Land Rover are not interested in making this matter right. Will never purchase another Land Rover product let alone go near this Hendy garage. Avoid and save yourself the stress and money loss!

Customer service from Jonny was more than excellent! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and just brilliant! Our overall experience with the dealership was fantastic! Highly recommend dealing with Jonny!

Appalling & Dishonest Service.

I would very much recommend reading this before purchasing from Hendy Land Rover.

I purchased a 2019 Range Rover in March 22 for over £80,000, and was advised that it would have a 165 point check. When collected it had the following issues:

1. Defective discs and pads which had to be changed
2. 3 defective tyres that had to be changed
3. The AdBlue system was not recording correctly - rectified after two visits.
4. The rear rubber door seal was literally hanging off - the seal was changed, and now your feet get wet when opening the door after it rains.
5. The front bumper strip was loose and not clipped in - they super glued this (on a £80k car)
6. There was a knocking noise from the rear of the car. This has resulted in the dealership having the car for a total of **9 weeks** since may, over 6 visits. I was told on at least 4 occasions that it was resolved, all of which were incorrect. The issue remains to this date, and in fact I now have bad vibration coming through the floor.

(Was the guaranteed check ever done??)

I specifically requested in two emails that Hendy LR contact LR directly in order to gain technical assistance. I was assured on at least three occasions that this had been done. LR confirmed in writing that HLR have not contacted them or requested technical assistance. I asked the After Sales Manager to explain why I had been lied to, and twice received emails stating that he would explain, but of course no response to date.

I also copied in the Sales Manager who covers all Hendy LR dealerships in this area, and he ignored every email. I also emailed Hendy Customer Services (the email address in most of the negative feedback responses ) but again no response of course.

It is clear that the technicians have no clue on how to resolve the issues with their cars unless the computer gives them an answer.

This is absolutely the worst experience I have had when buying a car, apart from the appalling service with a previous Range Rover from the Hendy Christchurch branch... I won't go there in detail today, but will state that the car was eventually rejected after more appalling service and deceit.

Hendy, please don't respond with the standard message in other negative reviews, as it is evident that you have no interest in resolving issues or responding fully. Maybe you should actually respond in full with what you will do to rectify your customers concerns, so that others can see that you are actually interested.

Update:

Hendy clearly do not read the reviews or have any interest in them. I made it very clear that they have ignored my email to the address provided, and they have just provided it again. How totally unprofessional, and why have they not stated on here what they are prepared to do…. This is because they have no interest in resolving the issues or answering why they have been so dishonest.

Please learn by my appalling experience, and buy your LR from elsewhere.

Really hard to get hold of service team for 2 days. Left messages but you will not hear from them.
Quoted £550 for a engine warning light, but was solve for £18 from local garage.
Avoid the dealer.
