Grease Monkey Garage

This is my second visit to Chris at Grease Monkey Garage and I can’t sing his praises highly enough. I needed new spark plugs and it seems another garage I had my car serviced at might not have bothered during a previous full service!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone.

After my car just dying on me on the A30 on a Friday I desperately needed it looked at - with three school aged children I need transport. The following Monday I happened to walk in to Grease Monkey to ask if Chris could look at it. He said that if I could get the car to him that afternoon he would. The car was delivered Monday afternoon and by Tuesday afternoon it was fixed.
Chris was upfront about his rates, extremely reasonable, and the potential timeframe and parts cost. Despite the RAC’s guesses at the issue, clutch, Chris investigated and found the drive shaft had snapped. This meant a faster job, resulting in a cheaper cost for me.
Chris is polite, personable and honest. I would definitely use Chris again and thoroughly recommend him - without hesitation.

I got a puncture just before the M3 turnoff and I googled local garages only to find this gem of a place. I didnt get the guys name but he was very helpful and got me out of a whole and back on my way with my spare tyre. I was told they don't do tyres otherwise I would have purchased there and then. Thank you!! HIGHLY recommend this place

Chris as always came up trumps today with my van repairs.
Despite the super low temperatures he sorted out my brakes and driveshaft boot.If your looking for honesty,sensible pricing,good job and a happy face,Chris is your man.

Best mechanic, ever! Chris works on both mine, my partners car and our campervan. He's always trying to save us money and suggest better solutions, honest and open with his pricing, calls us before any big work needs doing, he has never ever let us down. Our battery in the car went one afternoon he ordered us one in, within an hour, we were at his garage getting it fitted. We can always call for advice and he diagnoses quickly, he's never been wrong. We have a mechanic for life!

My partner has taken his VW Golf to Chris on more than one occasion & once again he came up trumps for us. Despite having a busy diary Chris quickly diagnosed an Engine Management Light malfunction & booked the car in for repair the following day. Chris fitted a new throttle body, the car passed its MOT & is now running better than ever. Chris provides a professional, knowledgeable friendly service with a “can do” attitude which you would find hard to beat. We would thoroughly recommend Chris & his Dad who runs the MOT Testing Station next door.
