A telephone appointment would be nice in the next month? No can do.
Obstructive receptionists.
Leaving you hanging.
E consult form registered. I got the acknowledgement on my phone. Then, days later, reception couldn't locate request. Start again? I'm too tired for this while with Covid! It's like wading through mud.
2 to 3 amazing doctors ... you'll probably never get to see :(

The practice itself. 5 stars. The male doctors from my experience so far, 1 star.

I have had 2 doctors (both male) who either hold an ego issue or just don’t care for a young man’s condition. I have received more support from nurses and receptionists than I have ever received from a male doctor at this surgery.

Saying this, I saw one female doctor who made strides with me in the course of 2 sessions.

It really is unacceptable that a male doctor is unable to be professional to another male without judgement. Especially when it comes to illnesses that aren’t as apparent as others.

They need training and support to cover their lack of knowledge so they don’t make conditions worse for patients, they need to be able to direct the patient to specialist treatment without judgment… why they even attempt mental health is beyond me, because it’s far beyond their capability as a general practitioner.

It seems to be a regular occurrence that a patient with mental health is made worse by seeing a GP prior to seeing a trained mental health practitioner.

I have anxiety over seeing a doctor now, something I have never experienced before this surgery.

Well I'm not surprised 2.7 out of 5 phoned and asked to come get my first vaccine was told they don't do walk in service so I said ok I'll book an appointment to see my doctor and get one can't do that either instead they suggested going 10 miles up the road to Guilford. That why it's 2.7 more worried about costs and time than actually doing there overpaid jobs you would think I was booking an operation

It's not the best surgery I have been with, hence the 4 stars. But my family and myself have always been helped when it was needed, from reception to the doctor's. They are very pleasant and we have never had a bad experience. If you can not be seen at the surgery and generally an appointment can be given for the Farnham hospital center.
Online consultation it easy to use but a bit long winded. Personally I do a lot of traveling on trains so I love this option as you can get more discription in your problem with no over hearing, my only thing I found with online is if your under 18 wanting to get an appointment online with out parents knowing this can not be done, they then have to call the surgery to then go through the consultation process. I would really like the surgery to bring back the blood pressure machine so it easier than having to travel to the hospital just to have it read

I have always found Downing St. to be responsive and helpful. Often enquiries are resolved on the same day.
I guess others may have had some issues, hence the poor reviews. But in the interest of balance, for me it’s a case of so far, so good.

Very unhelpful. Refused to see my child as we are not registered there. Could not recommend them in any way.

Very un caring practice and Rude staff, should not work in this environment if you have no understanding of what your job is about, ie patient centered care

19/8/22 just spoke to the most obnoxious so called manager this morning, wanted to speak to gp, I am in extreme pain receptionist wanted to know why I was calling I explained to him it's personal did not want to give details, then this rude manager called back saying it was ok for this male receptionist to ask for clinical details as they are trained medically now, I've worked for the NHS for 34 years and never in all my years have our receptionist been asked to insist they no the medical reason a patient is calling, our receptionists were always taught if a patient feels they need a gp then that was good enough , all they were allowed to ask was is it an emergency , if the patient wanted to volunteer information
That was up to the patient but no pressure was put on the patient to divulge information!!! I think management and certain reception staff should go back to training how to deal with people who are calling especially when they are sick. I will stand by I will only speak about my clinical business to a qualified medical person

I would like to add under pressure I did have a lovely young female receptionist call me back who was polite and in tears I explained my circumstances as I felt I would not get any help. So thankyou very much to her she was nice and calm and understanding to my medical history and pain I am feeling now. Only Dr worth seeing Dr Ismail manager waste of space reception not trained with high risk patients lack of empathy and knowledge from administration and some gps disgusting need to have training as don't seem to understand that they are being paid to care for patients

I love the message on their phone, a man's voice telling people to be kind and polite. I wonder do they tell their receptionists the same. Phoned yesterday, gave my name and date of birth. The woman clearly didnt bother to listen. So I had to repeat it twice. I think that is very rude. So pleased I am no longer on their books.
