Caring and pleasant local GP surgery. Had to use a few times prior to and during the covid pandemic, both face to face and by phone. Very pleasant GP and staff. Always found helpful.

Thank you for responding to my 1 * review The Hall Practice.

I don’t think this platform is for dealing with issues. It is for me to give feedback of between 1 and 5 *’s.

I have recently heard so many people say that it's impossible to get a GP appointment or even a voice to speak with on the phone or they've had no response from portal messages left for several days.
I learned a shocking, almost unbelievable but factual statistics in 1997.
THE WORLD POPULATION HAD DOUBLED IN JUST THE LAST 30 Years.
I have felt the impact of this before even hearing the above. and can't believe how all the public services are managing without any more schools, Dr Surgeries, hospitals and police officers, fire services being decreased instead of increased to support this fact.
I have never had a bad experience with the calcot medical center and I have had immediate responses to portal messages ( you'd think I said I was about to top myself) but just extreme pain and three times just in a few months within 20 to 30 minutes have been called and given an appointment quickly.
I tried to book an appointment thru the portal messaging service a few days ago and due to severe pain had to call instead. Pain so severe, I was unable to type the correct letters from shaking which made my ability to concentrate harder and increased mental health affect.
Bad enough I can't move, now I can't type!! 😟
Tracy was very kind, understanding and compassionat . Thank you very much for everything and I am so sorry that people don't understand what is going on statistically right now and for many year and tcompletely, humanly impossible the pressure being put upon you.

Some good experiences, more less so. It’s hit and miss contacting them. They are a digital surgery. They prefer online. It feels like they avoid face to face. Parking in their car park is hopeless. The staff and the doctors use the same car park as patients. The bottom line for me is the practice isn’t as good as it was when I first moved to the area. They need to be more face to face and they need to sort out the parking .

I’m so sad to be writing this!! I’m such an advocate for the hall practice. They saved my dads life. However, writing this on behalf of my little sister who is the hardest worker I know. She’s 16 and has a GSCE drama piece tomorrow. She has developed laryngitis style symptoms/ lost her voice due to a strain during a singing lesson and cannot preform her piece to the best of her ability. She actually wants to be a doctor and therefore, needs good grades for her chosen sixth form. We rang the surgery about the situation and their response was diabolical. I understand we are not priority but to not even care is shocking. ‘We will pass it onto an appropriate person in 7 days’… 1. The exam is tomorrow. 2. Can I have something in writing, so at least we have something for the exam board?!’ Your a doctor’s surgery for gods sake and we aren’t ringing you for jokes. She’s so sad that she’s got no voice for her exam tomorrow and no proof of seeking doctors help. The one place we thought could help, told us there is nothing they can do. Brilliant.

Absolutely appalling., in the last 12 months I have tried on 3 different occasions to see a Doctor and it’s almost impossible to get to see a Doctor.. if you call you have to go through a fortress of process to actually even get to speak to a Doctor. Even if you finally do their first assumption is that everyone has COVID, even if there is nothing to suggest that.. There are doctors and nurses putting their life’s at risk daily, but here I get the impression that the Doctors and staff are paranoid about safeguarding themselves with no regards or concern for the patients. Unacceptable attitude even if the patient is actually COVID positive, it’s no way to treat patients
