Ivy Centre (Homerton Sexual Health) - Appointment Only

Usually have no issues with this clinic, staff are friendly and helpful and usually the process is very quick. However today I have had a nightmare with their telephone booking system. I initially called in the morning and was told a doctor would call me back. No problem happy to wait, unfortunately I missed the call due to bad signal, again no problem not their fault. I rang back within minutes of receiving the missed call notification and have been trying to get through to a receptionist to rearrange the consultation for two hours now... The call line closes in an hour and I don’t have any faith that my call will actually be answered, I understand they get a lot of calls but being on hold for 2 hours seems excessive.

Never have I experienced such unhelpful rude staff before. The two ladies on reception clearly do not like their job or want to help people. (Betty and Sharon)

I arrived 15mins late for my app as I had a 2hour drive and hit traffic. They would not let me wait in an empty reception room and used the excuse that this was due to COVID and social distancing although there was no one in the waiting room.

They did not not help me try to re-book another appointment and kept saying that it’s just the way it is.

No empathy or customer service skills I am not normally one to post reviews but they should really look at this as it is not a nice experience for patient care.

The staff is super lovely and they provide a great service. However, one thing that could improve is the telephone appointment service. it is almost impossible to get hold of someone to take an appointment if non urgent. trying both option 1 and 2, it rings until it hangs up.

I had an iud fitting with Dr Clara and she was amazing! Gave me all the information I could possibly need and made me feel so comfortable. I was also given a chaperone who's name I cannot remember but the two of them together work like magic. Thank you

Great NHS clinic, easy to book both online and via telephone. Had the appointment with professional and caring staff. Highly recommended! Thank you for your help

the place is ALWAYS understaffed, staff is ALWAYS running late/under pressure, everything is ALWAYS delayed. And do not dare to have negative comment, its seen as abuse :(

Very easy to book online though you get seen an hour later to your appointment time. Its a bit funny as you have been scheduled a time for a reason and you don’t even get seen 5-10 minutes after the time given but a whole hour. First clinic that i’ve been to that takes long.

Attended here today, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The wait time was quite long (almost an hour) and it did seem like a couple of people who came in after me were seen before me? I was seen by the lovely Christinana who was very friendly and caring
