Vale Drive Primary Care Centre

Went in for an Implant removal. I was taken in early, the procedure went fabulous. I had a pleasant conversation and was offered alternative contraception on the spot. I felt comfortable, safe, and taken care of there. I will be going back for all of my future contraceptive and sexual health check ups in the future.

I have had a very positive experience so far with Josh who is the on-site physiotherapist at the clinic. I went in for an appointment recently and having some minor medical knowledge myself he conducted a concise examination on my knee.
By the time I got home he had already sent me an exercise regime to follow which I am just starting and was even able to give me sound advice on my tennis elbow which was a separate issue.
Josh has also called me today to see how everything is going with my knee and to get some additional history on my condition and I feel like I am in good hands with him.

I fully recommend Josh if you are looking for a learned physiotherapist as both his knowledge and beside manner are second to none.

Whilst waiting I just witnessed the blonde receptionist be very rude to an elderly lady on two walking sticks who had been waiting for a long time. It's not right to speak to people the way she did.

Why are Longrove Surgery (located at Vale Drive Primary Care Centre, Barnet) public service so appalling? Why they don't care at all for their users/patients? Last Friday I called them for 40 minutes and no-one answered the phone; went there then in person and only one person was in front of me and already talking to the receptionist, so I only waited one minute. When I asked why they don't answer the phone they said they were too busy (not that I could see it, as they were talking to their colleagues in a leisurely way). I was then asked to leave my details and would get a call the following week to book an appointment. One week has passed and no-one called me. Why? Very very low public service, they simply do not care, despite being paid to do their job properly. Why are they even open?

Absolutely disgusting service wouldn't rate it any stars if I could. Trying to communicate politely with the woman on the phone and she just kept speaking over me not listening to anything I had to say. I was explaining I tried to book online, but it was telling me there were no slots available. She then proceeded to say I was wrong and I was lying which are then replied that if there were slots to book online, I would've simply booked online instead of calling. I also just asked that if there weren't any slots in my area for any of the clinics if I could book in a different area and that be okay and she was just really rude about everything. When I asked her to stop speaking over me so I could finish my sentence she proceeded to say she was going to terminate the call because I was being rude.
Really disappointing as I've come here for years and I've never had this issue. I've actually told people how much nicer the staff are in this clinic than others so it's really a shame.

Really won't be coming here again

I've been using this place the past 2years and I've got nothing bad to say as staff really care about patients and tend to be as understanding as possible but they can't please all patients. It's unfortunate how rude some people are towards staff, knowing fully well the procedures but expect the surgery to bend the rules for them. No word of a lie, I've seen this happen numerous times and it's tragic to see staff doing everything to help are been shouted at. If anything they deserve accolades for their hardwork!

I've had my contraceptive implant put in and replaced here over the past years and always had a very good experience, with staff being kind and professional - the perfect example of a great service offered by the NHS.
