Becontree Medical Centre

I've been at this surgery for as long as I can remember. Never had a problem getting an appointment, having telephone consults or getting repeat prescriptions. The team always go out of their way to be as helpful as possible which is always great when most people are calling because they're not feeling great. Even today, Rachel and Emma went out of their way to ensure that my very last minute request was actioned, letter written and additional medication prescribed just so that I didn't have any issues on my holiday. Can't them enough for the outstanding service I have always received from them.

I have registered myself and my son here recently and although we have to ring at 8am and hope for a miracle someone picks up. When we do finally get through we get an appointment and the receptionists are clear and informative.

A few months ago we saw Esther who was so kind she explained what they can do for my son who had an ear infection and also what to do if the infection does not clear up. We eventually got referred to a consultant at Queens so I am grateful that it was taken seriously.

Today we saw Anna the nurse for my sons yearly immunisations and she was so lovely and kind and explained the whole process and explained what vaccinations my son would be receiving. She’s a real asset to the team, the surgery are lucky to have someone as caring as her.

Most people are quick to complain which they have every right to but when they receive good treatment and service they are quiet.

I think Becontree medical centre is the best in Dagenham always friendly and always ready to help. Never had any problems. Only been with this surgery for about 9months and wouldn't go anywhere else. all the doctors that I have seen have been great. And the receptionists are nice and very helpful

I would like to praise Becontree Medical Centre. My partner and I have NEVER had a problem with the staff, appointments, referrals or anything in general. The staff have always gone above and beyond, the clinicians have always been thorough and respectful. I understand that not everyone has had the same good experiences as my partner and I, that's why we give reviews, to learn from them, but I am genuinely shocked with some insulting reviews. I do believe that you should treat others how you wish to be treated yourself. Not everything is the receptionist fault! Having worked in a big surgery like this one myself, I fully understand the pressure that everyone is under and the workload is getting bigger by the day, so many needs to be met as a surgery. I also feel that some people need to take into consideration how big the population is now, how many hours there are in a day and how thankful we should be that we have free medical care on the NHS! And finally, one thing for sure, you can't please everyone all of the time. Patients should also learn to have more patience!

This GP should be close.The members of staff from here,doesn’t care about patients,especially DR ESTRA,who supported to refer me for an Argent MRI and she didn’t.(like she told me through the phone,when she did called me and discussed my previous MRI)I was waiting a month to received an appointment and nothing,till I went to reception and asked for it,than the lady from reception was,like you been referred,but not argent like you supposed to be,it’s been done a routine one…than I went made,because I am in pain and still this DR ESTRA don’t care about it.Also,always if you need an appointment and ring from 8am in the morning,it’s always and ever Busy the line and will never get through to do an appointment.

My parents GP surgery for many years. Absolutely disgraceful. No one has a clue what they are doing. Wouldn’t recommend and seriously have concerns about the lack of care from all staff. Should be closed down

I've never had any concerns re
the medical centre. Staff friendly, medicals professional. I note the QCQ have given inadequate status. I'll read the report but ì know majority of surgeries have not had things easy especially due to the pandemic.

Should be shut down completely!!! Useless. Been calling for a week straight, always 9th in the queue and then I am next in line and just before my turn robot says all appointments are booked now. Every single time. Useless, awful!!!
