I have nothing but praise for the doctors here. I've always felt welcome and I've never felt rushed and for the past 10 years they have looked after me really well. I agree the booking system needs sorting out but otherwise its a fantastic practice

Awful service! Never know a practice like it. They have no time for the elderly, if you're suffering from chronic illnesses don't waste your time or put your safety at risk. Medication is missing time after time or it's not processed right so you go days missing doses. They don't let you know this until you go to pick your tablets up. Problems are never solved they will throw antibiotics down you rather than actually check you over. Reception staff talk to you like dirt and act like your an inconvenience just because you want the right care and your tablets on time every month. Attitudes are marvelous for a set of people who can't put a prescription through right. It comes to something when you dread ringing your own GP because you know the hassle you're going to get. I could cry at times with how much we've been neglected.

Terrible booking system , I find the Receptionists abrupt , stressed and sometimes a lack of empathy , this is just my opinion , If you ring after 8am midday they seem to be more human and caring . The way I have been explained is IF you are lucky to get an appointment non serious the day you ring up the appointment is booked for the same day the following week . I might be wrong as I find the situation crazy . The so called Patient Access booking online is a joke if there are any appointments very rare there are about three at late times .
I would like to see more appointments in the future. that can be talking to a doctor via a telephone or a video consultation sometimes I have attended the practice spoken to a doctor no examination an appointment booked at the local hospital this could all have been done via a telephone consultation .

Unfort my Partner has moved to another practice as our Children are overdue on their inoculations every time she rang up she was told your on a list or the nurse Is off sick. This is now being going on for 12 months hence the decision to move.

I realise this is a very BUSY practice with over 7500 registered patients and people may disagree with my opinions .

I rang this morning with a complaint that has been going on since January. I suffer with a really bad complaint and am on TpN for life, but lately things have changed. I was given a telephone consultation, with a doctor Olamide, I've never had this doctor before, she wasn't interested in listening to what I am going through and just kept talking over me. In the end she just hung up on me. I'm now left with chasing it through the receptionist to see if she has done what she said she would. I am in tears here because 6thought I'd get help or direction bit no I'm left feeling useless like I've had a good telling off by the teacher in reception.
I could right a book about the good and bad experiences I've had with this doctors, wish they would bring it back where you could ring for a specific doctor.

Reception staff very helpful. Esp Viv and young guy sorry never got his name. Thank you Doctor Wilson for your help yesterday. And for my pain free Injection. Have always found staff very polite and no problem when I ask for help . Thank you team Strand Medical Centre.

I've only had the one doctors all my life so I have nothing to compare to but I've had my share of issues. I've been sent for a blood test were the doctor didn't specify what it was for and it was thrown away, I didn't find out this until a week later when I rang and asked for my results. I had to have the blood test again.
I've also have a doctor not specify was something else was for which resulted in them testing me for the wrong thing.

I had an appointment during covid, the receptionist asked some questions, then let me in and told me where I could sit. After about an hour of waiting I asked how long it was going to be, I could see everyone coming in after me going in before me. Its normal to wait long times to be seen in this doctors but there was barely anyone in there due to social distancing so it didn't make sense. That's when I found out the receptionist had forgotten to sign me in. It was particularly frustrating because I was on my lunch break.

I've had doctors seem disinterested in my issues but I have had lovely doctors too.
In general it feels like the doctors do the bare minimum, I've still got an issue that I've had for over six years that doesn't have a resolution. Everytime I go back they just do the same tests over and over again.

The receptionists have been quite snotty on occasion, although again I have had some nice ones too. That is even if you can get through by phone, I've had to ring over a 100 times in a day, on more than one occasion, to just talk to the office staff. I wish I was exaggerating.

I really need to change doctors.

I have been with this doctors for many years. I have no complaints about the Doctors themselves. Especially Drs Massimo and Dr Oliver.
The complainant I have is with the reception staff barr a few. They are rude and very unhelpful. Especially Karen. She never listens to what you are trying to say. Very rude and unhelpful.
Also need to sort out out the booking system. Very lucky if you can actually get an appointment.

Most unhelpfully reception staff with attituded you could possibly find. Won't help put a prescription in for a baby even though the people at home have covid. Cant be bothered moving to do work and help people. The least they can do to help you in the place the better for them. The place is a joke. Cant ever get an appointment. The system for booking appointments is pathetic. I work shifts so only available to try and ring at 8am every third week. That's even if they bother answering the phone or by the time you get through to see if any are actually left. Worst medical center Ive ever been to
