Great cinema! Went to see Fire Of Love “which I recommend” and thought I’d see it at Picturehouse as I’ve been meaning to check this cinema out because it looks so inviting from outside. I wasn’t disappointed! Staff were really nice, it was super clean and tidy and it had a real chilled out vibe. I was in Screen 4 and the sound was fantastic! The seats were comfortable and clean. They’ve got a vintage looking design. Only thing I’d say, I probably wouldn’t recommend the back row “especially sofa” because the row in front didn’t go down far enough and so we clad to now and then sit up a bit more to read the subtitles for the film. That said, I had a great time and can’t wait to go back again to see “Girls Don’t Surf”.

I took my two year old son to the children's library today, and from the moment we arrived two staff members were very abrupt & rude, one of them actually said to my son she will tell him off in a minute. My son was well behaved, excited to see all the books, made a few noises of excitement and was walking up and down picking his books, we stayed in the children’s area the whole time, but I was told to take him outside as they will receive “major complaints” as he’s walking up and down and they can hear his footsteps from the other side of the room. Another parent was in this area and could not believe what she just heard the staff member say to me, she felt it was very unfair and that my son is better behaved than her son and she’s never been asked to take him outside. I was pretty much told to leave. This is awful treatment of a toddler and a parent, we were trying to keep entertained on a rainy day and my son loves books so this seemed like a great place, but I will not return and I hope that other parents/toddlers aren’t made to feel how we felt today by the terrible two staff members there.

Great atmosphere to have a nice hot drink whilst studying/working in the reading room and then catch a great movie after! Delicious toasties & the oat hot chocolates are my fave in the bar area!

Fantastic cinema in the heart of west Norwood. Nice touch that it's part of the old library, so it gives it both the vibrant and community feel. Really spacious seating makes for a great cinematic experience. As with all cinemas there is food to buy but also amenities around the area where you can get alternative options

First time here. Nice cinema with comfy chairs. The doors are not soft close so when ppl were going in and out the screen you could here the doors bang

Fantastic local cinema.

I bought tickets online so I just had to show my confirmation email to staff who were friendly and welcoming.

I was in screen 1 (see pictures) which is the biggest screen in the building. Very comfy seats. Nice and clean too unlike other venues *cough cough* Streatham Odeon!

Reasonably priced tickets and snacks are available at the counter along with alcoholic beverages.

I'll definitely visit again.

This cinema has 4 screens, a restaurant and bar and has some amazing snacks from the foyer.

Not only that, they also have membership cards where they give benefits and discounts, just for members too. Also, there's ticket prices as well.

** New Update Dec 22 **

**Latest review**

After seeing Avatar, I wanted to update you and say how much I love this cinema. It's so subtle and friendly. If you want to go somewhere not over busy, I I couldn't recommend it enough.

**Second Review**

Just been there again, and this time around, I took some photos for you guys and saw the film 'King Richard,' the story about William's sister's father.

One thing I would recommend, which I wouldn't usually do, is to become a member of a black Friday deal, as it's worth it!

Have to say, that was the first round of the many Picturehouses to attend. I went to see the new Joker film, a gripping encounter. Excellent movie! 🎥

So pleased this one was up first. You can park for free after 7 pm (I had to throw that one in first, of course), and the area has plenty of choices to eat!

When walking into the building, it's modern, fresh and has a lot of space. A great area to chill, have a drink, coffee or some snacks, and it sets you up ready to watch a film.

I got into there and went into Screen 2. Big space, lots of seating and very comfy; they even have sofas/two-seaters at the back. Ideal for a date or not 🙈

West Norwood train station is a 2 min walk, and like a lot of South London, it's one of those hidden gems to check out. Rather than just going into the city centre.

We give it a solid A*****
