Kim's Nail Spa

2nd time coming in here. Love how they did my nails so much ♡ even though im new mrs Kim remembered me from last time and their space is very comfortable and accommodating 😊 will be coming back for sure!

things to keep in mind:
- Its a 3 member family run business so schedule/come over on weekdays when its not busy. My first time here i went with my mom on an easter holiday weekend as walk-ins, it was very busy and it cant be helped my nails feel like they were done in a rush.
- bring cash. they also do bank transfer.
- confirm how much the service cost, some services have outdated price on the menu.
- they do rotation when doing your nails. Mrs and Mr Kim does the nail prep and in-fills and then their daughter will do the nail painting and the finishing touches.

I feel like keeping these things in mind will really help how your first time experience will be if you decide to try their services ♡♡

One star for this Salon is a push! Sat waiting for over an hour and a half, had to file my nail’s myself, used Dremels on my nail when I asked for them not to, had my fingers stuck together with nail glue, built up acrylic on some of my nails, wet polish that smudged as soon as a walked out. That’s not to mention the state of the Salon, dust and dirt everywhere! Light nail dust from the day is expected but the salon hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. Used wax strips on the tables, hair and mud on the floor, towels used on multiple clients. Definitely would NOT recommend!!

Worst experience, poor service, upped price significantly but did not say. Kim messed up my nails leaving the paint wrinkly and chipped! Then refused to redo them for free, they are better than before but still not great they as each nails shape is different. Never again! Next door is way better.

Went to this nail salon to get my acrylics removed. My nail plates are now extremely damaged and sensitive as they scraped it off with the machine. I didn’t realise the extent of the damage until I got home. Called to request a refund but no refund or apology. The staff were lovely when I went in but this completely unacceptable.

Absolutely abysmal. Dirty supplies, the buffing block looks like it's been used 100 times as do the nail files. Nothing looks clean here. Service was rushed my nail was burnt as she was filing with e file and wasn't paying attention.
Cuticles weren't even pushed back so everything was sloppy.
They lifted within 3 days and were a nightmare.
We spent over £100 for two of us to have nails and pedi.
And under a week one popped off. They had the nerve to say it's because my nails are long. They were short
Almond shape.
They have grown out look because I had to personally clip my cuticles. I will try and Use the place further up the arcade.

Oct 22- Had my nails done by Kim this evening, for the first time. such a lovely lady who was very attentive to detail & checking I was happy. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that. amazing service, I couldn’t fault 1 bit. I will defo be back, & I defo recommend!! Thanks Kim! Xx

Nov 2022- just went back again for infill… my nails stayed on for 6 weeks! Couldn’t recommend Kim enough, the loveliest lady and did another amazing job! Thanks again Kim! Xx

Awful place! AVOID! I don’t no why I went there my feet were perfect never touch before since having them done there which I have never touch before have white spots I think they use dirty tools todo your toes with! Never again I’m so upset only went there because the other shop was too busy and this was empty (a sign)I went with a friend we got our toes done it’s been 6 months and then still my nails are not right defo avoid it’s just her and her husband and child no one is ever in there that should of been a sign 🤦‍♀️ also paid like £40 for my toes to be forever ruin and took like 2 and half hours like others say she leaves you todo people who come in and leave you with her husband that I don’t think he’s a clue what he’s doing! please please do not ever go here!!!

Worst nail shop I have ever gone to in my life. I visited on Friday morning for an acrylic refill and nail repair. Well I should of kept walking and gone to the nail shop two doors down because I am currently walking round with chunky, bulky, uneven, bumpy and lumpy nails. I genuinely can’t even bare to look at my hands as they just make me feel sick. I’m so annoyed at myself for not walking out without paying or at least establishing some form of discount because I could have done a better job myself and in fact had to take the nail file from them on two occasions to help them out. I had three different nail technician’s working on my nails 1 bless her was only young and trying her best and the other two omg find another career with immediate effect because the nail game ain’t for you babes. The design I asked for was very simple and although the young girl came and done a half decent job of what I asked for what the other two had done previously (not filing the suffice of the nail till it was smooth, different shapes and lengths on each nail, acrylic on my skin and all around the cuticles of my nails, filing done on some nails but not others. Honestly it was a whole mess and as a regular nail wearer of over 25 years I know what I’m talking about). I honestly tried my hardest to be polite but they was taking the actual p***. I would never ever, not in a million years visit this nail shop again. Please just walk on by unless you are into the whole bulky looking nail think with lumps and pumps in random places. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. 1 star is too high for this joke shop.
