Although the eye tests went fantastic, I was somewhat limited by the glasses which I received.. The staff had previously advised me that I was “cranially enhanced” (big head) but they found (safety) glasses frames which were the correct size. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get the prescription lens’s to fit the correct frames, so the smaller frames were supplied and “bent to suit”. I would have no difficulty getting normal glasses, but I have to wear Safety Glasses at work.

Called about reordering my contact lenses and was met by an extremely rude and abrupt woman telling me I needed another contact lense check. I regularly buy my contact lenses online or just instore as I know my prescription just fine. The woman was so so rude and sarcastic to me. I called Specsavers’s in sleaford, who told me I could go and buy them instore there with no lense check. Ended up going to vision express as I was disgusted with how I was spoken to.

Been helped by Glenn to find an adhequate pair of spectacles despite my very challenging prescription. He was really patient and definatly customer orientated. Really appreciated.
Price are also really competitive.

The staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and have good customer service skills. The range of products on the ground floor looks broad but it's not something I've ever needed to look into in-depth.

I was seen within minutes of arrival, I was referred onto my G P and another institution, all this happened quickly. The optician explained clearly what needed to happen. Very helpful.

Place its self in good, but they do not do home visits as the advert says, an elderly lady who has just got over pneumonia had to go to the store in order to get new glasses.

I give one star as I cannot give zero stars to the staff of this shop in Lincoln (15/12/2022 time approximately 8:35 am). Last night unfortunately I broke my multifocal glasses and went to this shop as early as possible in the morning as I desperately needed a pair of contact lenses for emergency. I wear contact lenses all the time. I am from London and I came by car and without glasses or lenses I could not even drive back home, as my prescription is -5 deg on both eyes, I don't see anything. I am also lecturer at the University and today I had to do a test with 100 students one hour later. So I really needed the lenses as a *real* emergency. I went to this shop, begging for a couple of lenses, and the only thing the two staff could tell me is that they needed a signed prescription otherwise they could not give me any trial lenses, as BY LAW they cannot give me any lenses. I don't question the law, what I question is: how can you simply and blindly invoke a law, without realizing that sometimes there are emergencies that need to be treated also with common/good sense?  These two women refused to give the lenses (that of course one can easily buy online without prescription, but I needed them *immediately*) and I had to leave the shop. Luckily I found the solution, as I met a couple of much more sensible people. There are many people nowadays in UK, that simply apply the rules without any critical thinking or common sense. I think these people are a disgrace for the country. I will never come to this shop again.
