Extremely helpful staff. It was my first pair of glasses since I was a child, so I had no idea what to look for. I basically had a personal shopper with me. The eye test was thorough and accurate. I now don't get the headaches I was getting. Highly recommend this place for the service and product.

I am so pleased I chose to go to John Lewis for my new glasses. I was nervous going during COVID but the service was excellent and so clean and extra precautions were taken to protect me. Shina was amazing, so professional, friendly and really knowledgeable. She picked out the right glasses for me and was very helpful. Thank you Shina, you gave me a lot of help.

Fantastic service from beginning to end.
Results of my eye test were explained to me in detail and I had as much help as needed ( a lot) with choosing the frames without ever feeling rushed.

DO NOT COME HERE! I ordered my glasses almost a month ago and they have not even emailed me to tell me they're ready.

It gets worse.

I emailed them to ask where they are and to ask if I could get a refund before they even ship it out to me (I was hesitant on the weight of the frames and the two women there said I could purchase and then change my mind later). They responded, said they're sorry for the delay...but they CAN'T REFUND ME.

They can't refund me for a pair of glasses they will not even send to me. It's insane.

The optician who checked my vision did her job very well. The multifocal glasses that were done for me initially, did not fit, but after additional check with the optician, the lenses were replaced with the single-focal ones, which were fine.

However the sad part was that I did not receive the refund which was promised to me in advance in case the multifocal lenses won't work. I never had multifocal lenses before, but the optician convinced me to try them, promising that if I am not comfortable with them, they will be refunded. Alas I was not comfortable, however I did not receive the refund which was around £250. So I will probably not come here again.

UPDATE: Came to the store, as advised in the feedback to my review, but was told that manager is not here and regular employees are not allowed to deal with refunds. I left my contact details for the manager. I change my review to 1 star now. If I don't receive reply, will have to apply to Consumer Rights organization and also write formal complaint to John Lewis. Will also submit review in Trustpilot.

Booked appointment for my daughter. Optician didn’t arrive to the shop until 25mins after booking. Optician then took another 10-15 mins to set up. Fair enough these things happen. However, following the actual appt, once we chose glasses, they didn’t seem to know what they were doing with the NHS forms. Was told to wait a bit as they they are trying to sort although probably added another 45 mins.

A couple of weeks later, I received a text advising glasses are ready to collect and that no booking is required (ie you can just turn up). I turned up to collect my daughter’s glasses and was told that the person that can sign this off is not there but will be back in 40 mins.

Appalling service.

I visited this opticians with my mother over the weekend. The customer service we received was stellar and I want to commend Raman and Hanik Vohra for their patience, assistance and diligence. I was thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend this optometric practice.
