Thank you to all the guys at specsavers but the sainsbury in Tamworth. I had such a fantastic experience while at this place, although I can't remember his name, the optician was kind, helpful and insightful. His advice was supportive and in no way patronising. I really helped me and the advice I was given I was able to pass on to my wife, which is helpful as I passed it off as my own advice. I paid a bit extra for the full exoerice at 35 quid, but I thought it was totally worth it. I saw scans of my eyes from all sorts of angles and got all sorts of information which, yes it went over my head, but I'm sure was helpful to know. There is also an ongoing support and I have popped in before for info which I have not been charged for, and I have acted on the advice which has been very helpful. Thank you guys for all the support. Would recommend especially if you are needed some good priced petrol from sainsbury petrol station which is right by it! Cheapest petrol in the area, especially if you have a nectar card.

I wandered in to see specsavers before doing food shop. It was around 6 ish so could have been near their closing time but i felt very uncomfortable so left. There was no greeting, just covid commands.....I spent £250 in town on my new glasses.

I’ve been visiting once a week for the past few weeks to find a pair of contact lenses that I can actually see out of. Gemma has been fab with helping me find a pair to suit, giving me lenses to trial at home. Most pairs however have been too blurry to wear, I attended my appointment today to see how they were and I was not wearing the lenses as I couldn’t see in them - the lady on reception (unfortunately I didn’t get her name) asked me if I was wearing my lenses, I said no - as they’re too blurry (how can you expect me to wear lenses and drive in them if I can’t see?) she pulled a face, asked me to take a seat, walked over to Gemma and said something to her, then shouted “good luck!” To Gemma as she walked towards me.

How rude! Like I’ve been an inconvenience! I was shocked and didn’t want to cause a scene so I didn’t say anything until I entered the room with Gemma who confirmed her colleague did shout that.

I’m disgusted and wanted to leave as soon as she said that! Why would I buy contact lenses if they’re blurry?

I didn’t get this member of staffs name, but I would like to make a complaint so would appreciate if someone could contact me.

I took my son today. He is only 3 and really struggles post covid with meeting new people or doing new things. He was petrified for his appointment today, however the optician was fantastic. Giving him high fives for everything he tried, made him a paper boat to match the boat on the screen, anything he could think of. We have been to doctors or dentist appointments that have required three adults to hold him/ calm him etc. While we weren't able to get everything done, the staff there today made us feel welcome, supported and were very helpful.

What an amazing service, particularly from Jazz. I went in for an emergency appointment because I started to see dots in my vision, he checked me out, identified the retinal tear arranged my immediate hospital appointment and then called me back a few days later to see how I was. Absolutely above and beyond the normal level of service, he wouldn’t accept payment and potentially saved the sight in my right eye, just incredible, I am so grateful to this wonderful local business

Went in to pick and order a new pair of glasses. Didn't have an appointment, but thanks to Stephanie, who managed to fit me in there and then. She also helped with advice on prescription sunglasses, which I'll order at a future date. Just picked my new glasses up, which feel great. Thanks to Stephanie again who helped with the fit. Great, fast and friendly service.

After being booked erroneously for a sight test instead of a hearing test, Specsaver responded to my negative review by asking me to complete a complaint form via an online link. Unfortunately the online form was so clunky that it could not be successfully completed. One way of suppressing negative feedback I suppose!

Great service from the whole team at this branch of SpecSavers. Rang up for an appointment on a Sunday morning for a very sore and irritating eye and managed to get one for the afternoon. Excellent customer care and thorough cleaning procedures throughout.
