Excellent customer service, all members of staff very friendly and helpful.
I had plenty of choice in frame’s.
Glasses were ready before expected, fitting experience was very good.
Would definitely recommend this store.

I had an appointment on Sunday at the Specsavers in Taunton. All the staff were very friendly, the person doing the pre tests, the optician and the staff at the till and up front. Everything was explained well to me and it was very efficient. It's been a while since I've had an eye test (longer than I had realised) but it was a very pleasant experience. They also have a £10 voucher on their website at the moment which really helps with the cost of everything else right now.

Staff were friendly but there was quite a wait for my appointment. I was then told I needed glasses for a tiny prescription - I got a second opinion and was told my vision is better than 20/20 vision and there’s no way I need glasses. Not impressed - is there commission for selling glasses here? Seems so.

So I spent £200 in here, I got 2 pairs of glasses but one get one free. The most expensive pair were no more than £50. The rest of the money was spent on daily contacts a few months worth. I was given 2 weeks worth of the contacts to make sure I got on with them which I did, so I call them and ask if I can have the rest of the contacts I paid for to which I was told there’s nothing on the system. Well it’s on my bank statement so not sure how that’s possible. Not coming here again bunch of scammers

Make sure you make an appointment if you need an adjustment as although walk-ins are suggested, I've found that I then get told I need an appointment so have wasted several journeys.
Good service once you are in an appointment though and helpful, knowledgeable staff.

Totally wasted my time. I booked in a couple weeks in advanced, picked a day and time that would be quiet. Waited around to ensure I wasn't late. Was there early. I was sat down to wait for 20 minutes to find out they couldn't do my eye test. I'll be going to the local family owned Earlam & Christopher Optometrists.

Update: Just to add to the saga. The girl must not have liked the fact I told her I didn't want to rebook and left. She booked me in for an eye test at the Cribbs Causeway specsavers (over 50 miles from me), I presume it was an attempt to annoy me. It just shows how petty the staff are.

Good place to have eyes tested. Assistants and optometrist are attentive and listen to what you have to say and they give professional advice and assurance when and if needed.
