Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Retford

Still haven't managed to get my children an appointment and been nearly ten weeks. Spoke to a lady who said they didn't have any child appointments left but she would take all my details put us in her diary and call me as soon as any became available. I stated I needed a weekend appointment. 7 weeks later still no call. I called back myself and the same lady I spoke to answered. Said she had nothing in her diary but did have the children on the system and said she hadn't been passed anything. I explained it was her that I spoke to. She took my number again and said she would put us in the diary and call when a weekend appointment became available. A week later on a Thursday (I believe) she called and said she had one appointment today at 2.30. I explained this was no good I needed a weekend. The lady said she didn't have a weekend written down and she hadn't been told and again I said that this was the third time I spoke to her ( was definitely her because of her accent) and on the past two occasions I had stipulated I need weekend appointments. Once again she said she would call when any became available. Another two weeks have passed and I still haven't heard anything. Going to have to try and find somewhere else. Not very good customer services, perhaps you need to get a better system in place other then a diary.

Called them several times on the 10th June, recorded message saying they would get back to me and they had my number, now the 28th June and no phone call, this was a time sensitive DVLA test for elderly relative, which with luck I managed to book elsewhere, though we have to travel a lot further

Needed a new pair of sunglasses due to mine breaking last year, spoke to a woman called Gill who booked me in for the next day (Saturday), she was very friendly, professional and gave me her personal opinion, came in three weeks later to pick up the glasses and very impressed, she even gave me a discount on my glasses, thank you to all staff and Gill

Friendly place to have your eyes tested and to buy glasses. They try to run an efficient booking and consultation service and follow hygine protocol.

Been going to Specsavers for a long time at Retford found them very friendly and helpful always happy to help, they have a very large of frames for you to view my credit 100%

Very efficient and polite staff.
Very thorough in what they do but as with everything, it costs.

Gill was extremely helpful with arranging everything for my Dads new glasses. She really went the extra mile.
I would highly recommend them especially Gill of course

Very pleased with my First Specsavers experience despite an appointment confusion. Will certainly return there when new specs are required
