Not a great selection of outdoor goods despite the size of this place.

Parking outside us free for half hour but you are on a camera system do you have to leave BEFORE this as you'll get fined even though I sent in a receipt for the shopping. £60 for an extra 5 minutes is definitely not worth it.

Ordered online and paid via Paypal, the seems to have done something funky and added the wrong delivery address (old work address no longer there). I called customer "care" withing minutes to try to get the address changed, simple right?

The agent advised the order was not yet showing and to call back in an hour and 10 mins? (in retrospect very specific time was give so the original agent could ensure i rang back after his shift!).

Dutifully rang back after the allotted time to be told that there was no way to change the delivery address and no guarantee i could cancel the order?? But they would put in a request to cancel but it wasn’t 100%

Asked to speak to someone more senior but nobody available at the time, call back promised.....nothing yet

I have now received a despatch confirmation for the item to be delivered to an address which doesn’t exist anymore (now flats) they will try to deliver 3 time (unsuccessfully) before sending the item back to the supplier.....efficient.

All this could have been avoided by simply allowing the address to changed or the order cancelled, something 99% of online retailers seem to capable of doing.

Will be raising a dispute direct through Paypal to revive all my money back and will be ordering elsewhere.

Absolutely shocking customer service and draconian cancellation policy

Brilliant staff, super helpful and lots of stock. Managed to get everything we needed for my daughters world challenge trip.

Great store with lots of hiking stuff. Have bought numerous hiking boots and related equipment here. Always really knowledgeable staff who are also friendly (some better than others and definitely better during the weekdays). Today we were served by Jeremy who is great and has served us before. We were looking for a new rucksack and Jeremy knew SO much about all the different rucksacks and how to fit them for the invidual. Great and we'll be back.

Item ordered and cancelled shortly after claiming no stock. Either poor stock keeping or I suspect they’ve cancelled the order due to the price being low (not insane) (and getting an influx of orders that they’ve decided they don’t want to fulfil.) Either way very disappointing and not a good experience.

They’ve also said postage will be refunded separately to the refund that will take 5-7 days, saying that it will take “longer” with no indication of timeframe which is poor leaving a customer out of pocket when a good company wouldn’t have even taken funds until dispatch.

**Update**

Item had been going in and out of stock over the past week - maybe stock pulsing to keep their presence on HotUkDeals alive? I managed to get another order in and this one has been fulfilled in a timely manner. Seemed fair to update this review, as I have now successfully received an order, but I’d be weary to order again.

I went in to give a package to be collected by UPS, the customer representative was excellent, engaging and very helpful, never been in here before but would certainly visit the store again as good service makes such a difference, keep up the excellent customer service
