Hobbs Pharmacy

Absolutely diabolical chemist. Just like everyone else's experiences, mine do not differ in the slightest.

They never have repeat prescriptions completed, staff are rude and just do not care, and it takes them 30 mins on average to make up every prescription.

God knows where these people trained but they are not up to the task!

Third visit to collect prescription, this time I had to wait. The place seems to be having staffing probiems but also it seems disorganised.

In my 55 minutes wait, 4 patients walked away without any items. 2 owing to frustration regarding the length of time they had been waiting.

The others claimed, they were told on the telephone, their prescription was ready for collection. One was not ready and the other told it was not due for another ten days so they would not prescribe it. Despite being told it was ready????

I was told after 35 minutes that one item was not available. Then after another 20 minutes, magically the item was available!!!!.

It's never been the best dispensary but service has slipped below any acceptable standard of service.

Truly useless (though to be fair, about level with the Allington Lloyds). Half an hour wait only to be be told they didn't have it, and it will (perhaps ??) be in this afternoon. Hopeless staff, hopeless everything in there ... if I didn't have to get the medicine for my local neighbours (Hobbs even failed with the delivery). Hope I never have to go to that store again. Prefer Boots any day. Really don't like putting bad reviews but this pharmacy is 0/10

Very helpful staff in this pharmacy I had a bad experience few months back with a staff member but she has now left I spoke to Harriet she is such a lovely lady and very supportive she made me feel welcome and comfortable and I will be coming back to this pharmacy again :)

I don't want to be unkind and I'm sure it isn't an easy job but my word, this place can be inefficient. There never seems to be the same person twice. I only realised it fully when I went to another pharmacy in the town and it was bustling with helpful, efficient people.

always holding scripts as long as they can, now for the last 3 times had to wait 9 days for my repeat of medication they keep forgetting to deliver and they are serious meds. Hope to god i can find a real pharmacy soon as this place is outrageous

Although they were supposed to open at 9 AM, I was left queueing outside, where it was minus three degrees, until 9:25 only to be told that they couldn't sell me anything until 10 o'clock because the pharmacist was going to be late. At 10, after being allowed in and handing in my prescription, I was stood waiting for a further 50 minutes. At least I was inside this time. After the almost two hour wait (some of it in freezing cold temperatures) they didn't even have everything and I would have to return for the rest.

The sad thing is, is that none of this is out of the ordinary for this pharmacy. Sure, this might be the most egregious example in my experience, but ridiculously long wait times, absent pharmacist, not having medication, closing early or opening late are all exceedingly common. So maybe you can explain away one or two instances of these things, but for it to happen all the time?

There's no urgency in the staff, no apology for keeping you waiting for so long. A total breakdown in management. People's medicines are important and here, they just don't care.

I would highly recommend people avoid this place whenever possible.

Was waiting so long for my pills prescriprion today, I had to enquire if I'd ordered something that they were having to develop from scratch. There were a few people waiting and nothing was happening! It's the slowest service. Leave plenty of time or book the day off work if you intend to use this place.
