I ended up waiting for 40 minutes outside in the rain with my sick 6 year old, as they only let 2 people in at a time. They seemed more busy stroking the dog a customer inside had brought in, than dealing with their work. When we finally got in, I was told my prescription was "detained" by another Boots pharmacy (I had told them they were my 3rd try in Woking, as the medicine was out of stock in the other 2 pharmacies). They then told me I had to go back to the other pharmacies and ask them to release the prescription! I had just told them we had walked to the other 2 pharmacies before - again I had a young sick child in tow. I then had to insist they call their colleagues in the other pharmacies, as they should be able to ask for that prescription to be "released", instead of me dragging back my daughter to the other pharmacies on foot (not knowing which one was blocking that prescription) then back again for a long wait.
We waited another 20 minutes, thinking they were dealing with us. Then the lady again very unhelpfully told me the prescription was still not released. She'd been dealing with other customers in the meantime. I had to ask to please call the other pharmacy. Finally after another 15 minutes wait inside, we finally got half our prescription (they didn't have enough in stock, so lucky me I will have to go back and get the rest). In total, 1h15 to get medicine. Absolutely shocking and ridiculous!
As we were leaving, a lady got in after us and was told they had to close for lunch (apparently they were "under strict orders!"). The lady wasn't particularly pleased, as she had just been waiting 3/4 of an hour under the rain outside and her order should take litterally 5 minutes.
It's almost unbelievable to have such bad staff and so little a shop, when this pharmacy is situated right next to multiple surgeries and the walk in centre.
Boots seriously need to do something about this pharmacy, and give some training to their staff. The first thing you see when you walk in is a sign saying they would not tolerate rude or violent customers. They are rude themselves and I think a lot of people have had to control themselves like me, to stay polite with such unpleasant staff.
