Having complained last week, I received a telephone call and apology from the staff and felt much happier. On visiting the pharmacy today there were noticeable improvements. My presence at the counter was acknowledged and an assurance given that I would be seen soon. There was an index system in place for prescriptions and my husband's medicine had already been checked and was ready for collection.

Probably the worst pharmacy I have had the displeasure of using. It is attached to my doctors surgery which means the prescriptions are passed over directly. They tell you when it should be ready but it NEVER is. Then when you collect your script there is ALWAYS something not available, causing you to have to make another trip. My doctor rang me on a Friday at 10am having passed over the script and told me it will be available from 4pm the same day. I was too ill to collect on the day so went in at 4 pm the following Monday to be told they only make them up when you arrive and it would be another hour before the medication was available. They are soulless staff not the least bit bothered about the massive queues building up in the waiting area. Avoid this place if at all possible unless you bring a book or have a degree in disappointment.

I have now been trying for 3 months to get my repeat prescription sorted. The first month I was told that there was a new system and I would need to re register. This I did. The 2nd month I was told that I wasn't on the system and I would need to go to the GP to request a repeat prescription myself. Today I went to the pharmacy to find a note on the window that the pharmacy are not using the system at all now!! I'm not sure how I was supposed to know these things. I understand a lot of staff have left but this is a chain of pharmacies and they need to get help from senior managers to sort this out. I am now looking to go elsewhere. What a mess! :-(

Easy and ample free parking right next door to the Dr surgery. Helpful and pleasant staff, but can be extremely slow service.

What a shambles! Booked online for a flu jab. Turned up 12pm for 12.15pm appointment. Joined a long queue to be told there wasn’t a pharmacist on-site trained to do the flu jabs and can I come back tomorrow. I was told an email was sent to cancel. The said email arrived in my in box at1.39pm that afternoon, way after my 12.15pm appointment. How this pharmacy gets away with such appalling customer service I don’t know. Just read the other reviews to find out this isn’t an isolated incident.

This pharmacy should be providing a quality service like the outstanding GP surgery next door. However, the service, when they eventually get to you, is ill-mannered and a total let-down. I can see from all the other reviews that this is a regular experience of local customers. The wait times are ludicrous. Any other pharmacy in the area will provide a decent service.

I am an ex nurse with wound care experience. I visited this pharmacy today. My son has a large (10cm) nasty, deep graze to his leg which has small patches of pus. It’s over his knee, so not in a great place due to movement as it heals. I Asked to buy an anti bacterial dressing and waterproof dressing to prevent infection and promote moist wound healing. Firstly, I was told “just leave it to the air” - this is the worst advice for this type of wound. As I persisted (politely) that I’d really need to buy a dressing, I was told to book a GP appt. This does not need a GP appt!! Luckily, I know what I’m doing (in this situation) and decided to visit Knights, who were extremely helpful and gave me exactly what I needed to dress my sons wound. I wouldn’t advise anyone to go here for advice. They really aren’t interested in helping and just want you out of the door! More importantly, they give terrible advice.
