Birstall PostOffice

I wish I could give no stars! The staff are SO rude, I have experienced this multiple times and have now decided to travel further out of my way to a different post office for this reason only. Incredibly unprofessional. I would suggest to not work in customer service if you can't communicate with people! Suggestion: a simple greeting would make a world of difference - it's very awkward as a customer when the person behind the counter doesn't acknowledge your existence.

Very rude. Unhelpful. Not just on one occasion! This time they would not give me a receipt as proof of postage for a parcel. This is a royal mail service that they should provide. I've had things go missing before so wouldn't leave my parcel therefore, I had to drive to another post office who provided me with a receipt- a 2 second job! Other local post offices are so much more helpful and friendly and I will avoid using the Birstall branch from now on. If you are able to... go elsewhere!

Past thru Birstall today and had a ‘click & drop’ parcel to post so called in to post it and get proof of posting. The young girl took the parcel from me and made no attempt to scan the Royal Mail QR code to produce my proof of posting instead she put it straight in the mail bag. I explained that I needed proof of posting but she told me that ‘these parcels don’t scan on their system so she couldn’t give me a receipt’…
………….How strange considering I have worked behind a post office counter for 25 years (and still do as a regular holiday/sickness relief) and know full well that it is perfectly normal to simply scan these parcels to produce a proof of posting. I can only wonder what their reasons for not giving receipts are , but trust me there is something very odd here and I think it might be prudent to use other post offices nearby.
Incidentally I took my parcel to another office and recieved totally ‘normal’ service and a proof of posting.

No idea why this post office has bad reviews. Just posted a parcel, the guy who served me was super helpful, smiley and friendly, a great service will definitely use them again!!

Very pleasant staff open on Saturday till 1 pm , very polite and great customer service great kudos to the Girl on the counter .

Birstall is the 5th placed I have lived in and I’ve used every post office in my other places I’ve lived regularly as I need to send a lot of stuff work wise.
And this post office is the worst! I have ever visited. The staff are soo rude and don’t want to know. If your customer attitude is this bad you should re think your career and not do customer service.

I now have to drive to groby post office to send all my stuff which you will get a 5* service from with a smile (:

Such a great shop and management, friendly staff. No answer on the phone but sorted my car tax out no problems and during a crisis no less thanks guys!

I wouldn't even give one star! The Asian lady that served me she was so miserable no smile, no hello no thank you. We teach our kids these manners and she's a grown adult! I have been going there since past 5 months thinking that she will change.. but today I have had it! She don't even make eye contact when talking to me. Never seen such terrible customer service.
