Park Parade Post Office

Just had my third bad experience. Aside from the one switched on friendly lady in there, everyone else is more interested in chatting about their nails rather than serving a long queue of customers. Never waited less than 15 minutes to be served in there, absolute joke. Today was told the post had already gone after waiting for 15 mins then having some items put through. I’ve had to leave to go to another post office and I won’t be coming back. Be warned if you have a life to get on with don’t bother using this post office!

Opening hours are wrong. The Co-op is open until 2000, but the post office counter service with all the services advertised closes much earlier each day. I've driven out of my way to access a service advertised as available on the Post Office's website only to find out that it's closed.

If you have a Q code you have to go back to the door to get a signal on your phone.

The post office is located in a convenient local area, unfortunately the staffs poor customer service is ruining it's potential to be a great business.
The queues are long the staff have no urgency to serve (I've just waited 40 minutes-standing) and the ladies are regularly trying to upsell their postal service.
It's better to drive a bit further to a different post office.

Staff are friendly. Sometimes big queue at this branch, so pick your time well. Open/close times online are wrong, branch is NOT open 8-8

Very slow service, lots of chatting behind the counter, charged £6.45 2nd class to post a 16x8 inch box under 2kg, I knew it was a small parcel not a medium as the abrubt assistant insisted, add to that RM staff on strike so won't even leave the pile on the counter for days, funeral flowers so I couldn't not send, won't ever use this branch again, can't be bothered with unprofessional confrontational staff.

I use it every day. Lovely staff. I find the negative comments quite bizarre. There are queues in every post office and this is a fairly busy one serving a large area. But, apart from exceptionally busy times like Christmas, the wait is rarely very long.

Opening hours weren't updated even on the post office website, so wasted journey. They currently close at 5:30 PM Monday-Friday. Usually quite long queues.
