Please be aware the post office is inside a McColls shop. The shop is open from 6:30 AM to 8 PM everyday but the post office is open M-F 9:00-17:30 and Saturday 9-12 noon. Post office is shut on Sundays. Since this is the only post office that's open in Barnes and the surrounding area at the moment (Castelnau is closed) and they can only have 2 post office customers inside the shop due to covid, queues are long so avoid the lunch hour rush and afternoon if possible. If you are driving you can park on the street and pay for parking. Do not chance it, pay for parking because the meter guys in Barnes are very active and will give you a ticket. I have suggested a revised opening hours post to google based on information I received from the counter guy today so hopefully they will revise it so as not to confuse people trying to post things. Also just a quick tip that this post office does not accept any parcels/letters going out of Europe at the moment. I tried to post something to America and ended up buying stamps for those items instead. As far as service goes, I am constantly at this post office to post items and have never had any issues. It's a post office and it does its job.

I know it’s nearly Christmas and everyone is stressed but that’s no excuse to be that rude to customers who are literally just asking for your help. Both lady and the post office guy were so rude

Don't believe the hours published here as they decide whatever time they wish to close the post office on a daily basis and every is different! One Saturday they said it was closed by 4.30pm then next Monday they were closed by 2.30pm. A absolute joke!

I’ve just been into the Post Office in McColl’s Church Road, Barnes to send a letter by Recorded Delivery; the modern idiom is Signed on Delivery apparently. The woman behind the counter tried to charge me £6.85. I thought she had said 85p! How out of touch am I? Why do these people have to try it on? £2.85 for Signed For

I will give them a -star if I can.
I'm a long-term Post Office Clip and Drop service customer and just moved into this area so I went to this post office for the first time. The first thing the middle age male staff told me is " We don't always accept Clip & Drop service, we might accept some time and some time we don't, we definitely don't accept the Clip & Drop service during the Christmas period." after that, he tried to overcharge me for a small parcel below 500g weigh which normally £18.10 and he tried to charge me £23.50 (as I mentioned, I have been doing this for a long time so I remember some of the postages.).

Anyway, long story short, don't go to this post office and 100% avoid this branch. The reason I can't put an official complaint about him with the Post Office because the post office customer service team demanded I send them the receipt from this shop even though I already provided them with the record of my clip and drop account which detailed the branch I posted my parcels, date, time and price. There's no way I'm going back to that place to receive any more rude treatment from this man.

By the way, one of the letters is also lost but I prefer to take the lost by myself rather than go to that post office EVER AGAIN.

Horrible rudely aggressive staff particularly the woman! Wouldn't take a parcel which needed scanning so I had to go Mortlake Sorting Office who couldn't believe she couldn't scan it! Rolled their eyes at her incompetence.
I avoid if at all possible.

Incredibly rude service, especially from the woman at the post office who was arguments and aggressive. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary. And apparently from the other reviews this wasn’t a one off.
