Crossways Post Office

Opening hours are good but they never smile in there. It costs nothing and doesn't require any training!

A a daily user of post office services in Croydon I go out of my way to avoid this one. It is the slowest and most inefficient PO in Croydon. Staff spend more time gossiping than processing customers.

Went in earlier to collect and deliver a parcel. The person behind the counter was curt, rude and mumbled something related to the transaction twice in a row that was barely audible to melme (and I have average hearingthearing). When I leant towards the screen so I could try to hear what was being said, they yelled in a tone that made it clear they were exasperated I didn't have the courtesy or wherewithal to listen properly. It's not the customer's fault of a staff member mumbles!

This place just about does for collecting or receiving mail. However, I will now go out of my way to avoid this branch and suggest that customers who are elderly and/or disabled do so if possible.

The other staff are OKish - if one can tolerate a slow working speed, an interest in gossip and demotivated workers - but the staff member who was on this afternoon is to be avoided at all costs.

Avoid this Post Office at all costs! They lose your post, they work so slowly there is always a massive queue, and they have no idea what they are doing - one time I tried to buy a sealed pack of 25 evelopes so I could post a letter, the staff took off the wrapping/barcode etc and told me the price was for one envelope and the pack would be £17! (despite many other sealed packs of 50+ envelopes selling for two pounds) The other staff members contribution was that I could buy a tracked postage plastic bag for £6. FOR ONE LETTER! If you want to wait an extremely long time to get ripped off for post that won't actually be delivered then go to this post office.

Keep changing post office opening times, without any notice. Rude staff, including the manager. Not recommended!

Second time of coming here half hour - 20mins before their advertised closing time, to be told by the guy that their post office service is closed?! Why say it’s open till 8pm to then only waste people’s time coming down to you? A simple parcel return with a barcode to scan, that’s it. Bad customer service

Terrible customer service, either lost or stole my post and would not accept responsibility or even offer advice on how to resolve despite the item being tracked and listed as having been delivered there, I ended up claiming for it via Royal Mail. Recently found out that my partner was interrogated about the contents of a letter that had a very slight bulge and made to pay extra to send it, when previously had no experience like this with similar letters sent via post boxes or other post offices. They way that they conduct themselves is rude and unhelpful. To echo other reviews, stay away from this PO.

I arrived at the post office between around 14:20 today (16/07/2021) to post 15 packages. The staff at the post office counter said "Why too many? Have you paid?" I said I haven't and that's what I am doing now. He said "I can't take 15." I asked why and he said "Takes too long. I can't let other people wait". I was the only customer at the counter. CCTV between 14:20 and 14:30 will confirm that. I said I'll just go to another branch and left. The staff was roughly 40 years old Asian man. Not only he wasn't doing the job he was employed to do, he was extremely rude and unprofessional. This wasn't the only time I was treated this way at this branch. Unless you are white British, you're treated differently at this branch. Absolutely disgusting!
