I clearly said I needed a stamp for a postcard to Canada and was first charged a first class UK stamp. Then instead of paying the difference I was charged the full price of the correct stamp and given incorrect change. Also this same person could not help the previous customer who asked about proof of postage for a return to sender. Completely incompetent and no one around to oversee what is going on to ensure that proper customer service is being given

The lady in the post office (young lady with long dark hair on the end counter) was so helpful today when I had a big problem. Without her assistance things could have gone very wrong. Thank you for your kindness and help. She was also very honest, I almost forgot my change but she called me back to give it to me. Thank you so much.

I’m not going to bother going to this one anymore. It’s a reminder that the post office is a money hungry business. If they can get away with charging you more, then they will. Unnecessarily difficult and no customer service skills, I would rather walk further and go to a different branch.

So apparently in order to pickup currency you need to have a passport. ID, driving licence, payment card, another card, scan of your passport (all in your own name obviously) on your phone is not good enough. Is it really "the system" that is to blame or pure human-to-human can I ask for a little favour here?

Brilliant local post office. The customer service is great and there were several people on the tills to control the queue. I was in and out a lot quicker than expected. I'll definitely be using this post office regularly.
