Worst experience ever with any post office. I had two big boxes to post. I rushed from home and reached 20 minutes before closing. When the guy found out that the boxes are returned item only he said he can't take big boxes. I had to take boxes to London road post office and they happily took them.

I get very nervous with the thought of going to this post office. I have had so many bad experiences in there. The staffs have poor customer services experience. There is one staff member a man who always looks angry and upset. This man is very rude every time I go in there. The was one day he told me to leave my pushchair outside, i said no and he got mad. I mainly go into that post office to collect my parcels and if that man is there, he always creates a problem out of nothing even when he is not serving me! It’s terrible!

So I've recently moved into the area, I first used this post office for passport service so paid for special delivery twice, therefore as a paying customer, they showed some sort of acknowledgement of my presence. I've now visited twice since then and all I can say is if you don't pay for special delivery or use a service where they can make extra money off you, you barely seen and you are certainly not heard. I had the smallest package no bigger then my head and I was charged to use sellotape for an amazon package return. Please see picture of my package, just to give you an idea. (so there is no extra money to be made here, this time!) So after I was charged 60p for sellotape the lady told me, whilst looking at me like I was dirt off her shoe, that I have the wrong QR code (i had hermes instead of royal mail) and didn't help me further just proceeded to talk to her colleagues. I have a diasbility, they saw me take my painkillers for god's sake and no proper custom was given. They can see my struggle but they are just talking in their own language (no doubt about me) I was in so much pain and so tired that I just left, didn't even say goodbye. Conclusion: Don't bother with THIS office, go to the central one on the high street or south croydon. Perhaps then they will learn a lesson in customer service and value. I do believe its the area it resides but why should that be taken out on genuinely resepctful customers needing their services?

Should be an option for 0 stars for this complete WASTE OF TIME, due to INCOMPETENCE!!!!

Absolutely useless I can understand why this post office stoped doing car tax years ago, as they are now finding it impossible to do the basic job of processing one.
After waiting in a queue for WAY too long the owner/manager (of MANY years) was unable to tax the vehicle (apparently due to DVLA).
Sitting outside the post office on hold to DVLA for some time it, was finally confirmed that the only reason this tax would not have been able to be processed is if the person at the post office INCORRECTLY entered the details.

I believe that’s called INCOMPETENCE!!

I therefore re-entered the post office (whilst still on the phone to the DVLA agent), only for the manager to tell me I must leave the post office as he is closing now.

So is it complete incompetence, or was it just the fact that leaving on time was more important then completing the task/service advertised (issuing car tax)?

This resulted in having to pay the tax over the phone for 6 months/1 year, as opposed to the initial “Direct Debit” set up (as wished), which cannot be done over the phone to DVLA.

POINTLESS JOURNEY!!!!!!!!!

Long story, short:
Better to go to a main post office, where people can do things properly!!
