Hinchley Wood Post Office

I find the HW Post Office very practical and provides a reliable service. The postmaster is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the items I mail are processed professionally. Have always received friendly and courteous service. Would be lost without our local post office !!!

This is the third time I’ve arrived before the closing time only to find they guy is not there. When he is there, he is very rude. Come on Royal Mail, find another franchisee!

I’ve had consistent issues with this post office saying that online it is open but arriving and it is not open. Staff are always rude when you ask them to correct this as well. Avoid if you can

Update as of Feb 23 - my mother tried to go yesterday afternoon and was faced with a scrappy note saying it closed at 12 for no apparent reason. I really hope the post office takes action against this post office bringing down their reputation. The post master is rude, unreliable and horrible.

I’m not the sort of person who writes regular reviews - but this problem with irregular hours at this Post Office is still ongoing, and really needs addressing. Yet again I turn up to find it is closed. Turns out that although the Post Office is advertised as being open until 5pm, I turned up at 4.45 today ( and I wasn’t the only person there) to be told that the Post Office master takes if upon himself/herself to pop off home at 4.40pm. Every single day! Please - either provide the service you’re being paid to provide, or alter the online hours so that we customers aren’t continually inconvenienced.

I'm never normally someone to write reviews but the post office is just that bad. Would highly recommend driving to another post office. Awfully rude employees, they often shut way before the actual shut time. I have never had a problem with my deliveries from any other post office, but they seem to be writing in the addresses wrong as many of my parcels in the past have not arrived.

I WISH YHERE WAS -5 STARS!!Terrible customer service. The old Indian man attitude stinks! When I question him why he is touching all of my documents in those COVID-19 times he responded ' I will refuse you, you to behave' UNBELIEVABLE!! No hand sanitizer either. No social distancing. Very humiliating experience in general! I won't recommend! RUDE!!!!

I agree with the other negative comments, I went today at 2pm closed for lunch so returned at 4.40pm & closed again so had to drive to another Post office & missed the post as I was sending a secure package. I suggest they stick with the opening hours advertised whatever hours they will be there!

Sadly I have to agree with all the negative points made before, they are unfriendly, unhelpful and barely polite. Nor are they open when they should be.
The Post Office should either be closed or the staff replaced.
