Thorpe Bay Post Office

They seem to let the postman do last collection at about 3pm here so he can knock off early or whatever rather than make him come back at 5.30. If you want to post anything for next day, and its after 3pm, forget about it. Was directed by the staff to the main office in town - good job I checked as she was directing me to a branch that had closed at 2pm. How did they not know that?

The staff here are incapable and know nothing much. Plenty of other post offices round with easier/free parking so just dont waste your time.

The staff are fine. Polite and helpful. Never had a problem. If you are pleasant, then so are they. Grateful to find someone who can do their job efficiently.

Absolutely dreadful! Avoid! Don’t bother to do click and drop here as the scanner doesn’t seem to work when you don’t buy the postage through them! Funny that! Long queues and they answer the phone rather than deal with you. Always an issue with my business post. Tried to tell me a box I’d bought in there wasn’t the right size - hmm….

Awful. If you can use another Post Office then I advise you to do so. Staff are more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. One woman in particular is abrasive when dealing with customers.

Both ladies in there act like they are doing you a favor to post there very rude will not be going back.

You should respect your customers without us you would not have jobs.

But again you do not care! You always think you will maybe if people will post more reviews!

Recently had to take documents for verification, the lady with the long dark hair who's default setting is unproffessional and rude on any given day was extra specially awful on this occasion, didn't even know the correct process for verification using my driving licence. Luckily she sent me home to do something unnecessary, so I went straight to the marvellous ladies in the Waitrose post office who actioned everything easily and without the appalling attitude (and no I didn't need to do anything else, I already had everything correct my end). I always swear I'll never use the Thorpe Bay post office again and kick myself every time I give in (it's nearer) Judging by the comments on here they have one particularly bad apple who makes everyones experience a misery. As others have said I will also make my complaint known at the post office HQ. If I hadn't taken my docs to another place I wouldn't have even had the correct service! Not good enough when there are lots of lovely folk needing a job who can't get one, people should appreciate their position and just be nice for goodness sake, life is tough enough without some grumpy woman ruining your day.

Just awful customer service especially with one woman in particular with straight hair. She’s rude with a bad attitude. Always has a problem with my post. Will not go there again there are plenty of better post offices locally. Have also reported her to the post office.

I will never use the ThorpeBay post office again due to the lady with the long dark hair, she is extremely rude and condescending and even when it is pointed out to her she still can’t stop herself.
