Previously, there were no queues at this Post Office. Recently, there was a change of management (ownership) and the new staff are polite and helpful. Customers have come back. Today, I spent one hour in the queue to get served. There was only one member of staff serving. Surely, a second member of staff is essential during the busy Christmas period. I am giving this one star because of the long queues. If there were no queues, the service is excellent and deserves 5 stars.

The women who run this post office are amazing! It's a difficult job (I couldn't do it!) And even when there is a big queue and there's just one of them behind the counter, they just get on with it.

When there are two of them it runs very smoothly. I say give these women a raise! I think they deserve it.

9/10 times I go to this post office there is a queue of at least 6 people and it takes forever because there is only one member of staff 90% of the time. The rare occasion i’ve gone in there and there is only 1 person in the queue, it still takes forever as staff are having a lovely chat with the customer or the customer is arguing about passport applications and the like. Avoid this place at all costs at lunch time, pensioners who have all day everyday to go about their errands decide that this is also an appropriate time to queue up to withdraw money and engage the customer service advisor in conversation. I get why they don’t want to use the cash point outside because most of the time it will swallow your card, but Waitrose has a perfectly safe cash point by the tobacco tills.

Everyone that works here are lovely and incredibly helpful- a brilliant service.
The wait is long usually, but that is due to demand and the number of people using the branch, NOT the staff.
My go-to local post office.

This post office and the shop is brilliant and very convenient, too. The service is very good
and the staff is hard working and friendly. I think as a customer it helps to be nice and reasonable about things sometimes not going to plan if you want to have a nice day and be treated nicely.

The staff are very friendly and helpful but they can only do so much, like every other post office - expect long queues at certain times.

The people who run this Post Office often choose to only have one person serving on counter. In a housing estate of 1000 houses, with parking for a supermarket that brings even more visitors. Yet I doubt anyone would care it has 2 stars on Google, it's all about convenience - if you are in the area or use nearby facilities, then you're going to this Post Office. So it's fish in a barrel, captive audience etc.

To be honest I don't mind the wait time. I'll always volunteer to go to the post office at work. I'll take a pastry and a coffee. It's an extra lunch break for free. Good opportunity to chat and socialise as well. If you time it right you can get your mates to be there at the same time 👊
