This is a fairly small Post Office branch towards the rear of the WH Smiths. It wasn't too busy when I went but there's quite limited space to queue.

Super friendly staff who were happy to advise me as to the best method of sending several small parcels.

Probably the rudest, slowest, most inefficient PO ever with a year-on-year appalling staff attitude. Just been bawled out in the rudest manner possible by the professional sourpuss behind the counter when she let someone jump the 6 person 30 minute queue and I dared to politely ask why. Apparently - accorting to her lengthy jobsworth word-perfect quote from PO regulations this person was allowed to jump the queue, according to Chapter x para y published-on-a-notice-over-there (nowhere near the queue either) and wasn't I so stupid and ill informed to dare question it!
This sort of condescending and dismissive customer attitude by the god-like , glacially slow, superior , arrrogant miseryguts behind the counter has been going on for years at Beccles. Utterly disgraceful behaviour. Shame I can't award no stars.

Not overly concerned about serving customers 3 behind the counter and only one serving.
With at least 10 people behind me waiting.
Not very welcoming when I did get served was made to feel like I was putting them out of their way.

People complaining about the staff being slow might want to consider how underfunded they are. I personally found the service impeccable and staff very friendly and efficient. But I have good manners so maybe I got treated differently. Thank you to the young red haired lady behind the till who helped me with my payment.

I feel terrible for the staff. You can tell they are disgustingly underfunded. They all look on the verge of a mental breakdown. They are doing their best and seem to be at breaking point. It just makes me sad how badly they have been repaid for putting their lives on the line working during a pandemic. Do better W H Smith.
P.S. NO social distancing, no limits on how many customers can come into the store, everyone is in danger.

i would strongly advise that if u bank with santander to not pay cheques in hear it takes days for the bank to even recive them then days for them to clear if u want your money just take it to santander yourself

Don't use. Understaffed. No signal so amazon bar code disappeared by the time i reached the counter assistant with long brown hair rude and indifferent. Minus 10

Totally unacceptable service...staff rude and very slow. I would strongly recommend staff go on a customer engagement course. There was a queue of 10 people and building rapidly with only 3 staff supposingly working and only 1 window available. One staff member actually more concerned about making tea for the other 2. Will try and avoid using Beccles Post Office as much as possible in the future. Terrible Terrible Terrible...
