Oxford Post Office

I truly had the most wonderful experience in the St Aldgate's Post Office this morning.

I was attempting to wrap up a pair of boots to send back to the Czech Republic, when one of the staff members called Mee Yee noticed that I was using a large box that would end up costing me a lot of money to ship.

Mee Yee offered to find me a smaller box so that I would save £50 on the shipping cost, she then proceeded to help me wrap up the boots and fill in the customs declaration form.

She spent a good 15 minutes helping me and it was honestly the best customer service that I have ever experienced, I left the post office smiling and was in a great mood all day.

I am so grateful to Mee Yee for her help and I hope St Aldgate's know how lucky they are to have her onboard! ♥

The wonderful woman working right at the front is very helpful. However, I'm not going to fill out a customs form and pay over £6 to mail a small envelope with a birthday card inside. I flew back to Spain and mailed it this morning for 1 euro, no customs form needed.

I love this Post Office. Although the staff are overworked and too few of them they offer service with a smile and help if you need it. I have noticed counter clerks and floor staff have to put up with rude customers who seem to think staff shortages are the staff's fault. Personally however, I have always found people working at this Post Office to be kind and efficient, going the extra mile to be helpful to customers.

For what is still an essential business to many, I struggle to understand why the quality of service at Post Office St Aldate's is so consistently poor. (Speaking from nearly 10 years of using their service!) Long queues, dire service, and high prices. It's a real shame as there are a few colleagues there who are both efficient and friendly, but they are marred by the colleagues who are rude, unhelpful, and totally disinterested to serving the customers who pay their wages! Sadly, I've had a few experiences so poor I've resorted to making formal complaints to their Head Office. Even then, no resolution, no apology, no interest for their customers. Use Post Office St Aldate's at your peril!

Staff are very friendly, but this franchise is just poorly managed. Always have to wait atleast 15 minutes, but most of the time half an hour as they have a single person handeling everything. If you do not need to go here go to st gills.

How is it that if there are 20+ customers at any given time pretty much all day, there are only ever 2-3 employees on duty to serve everyone, given that even the "self service" machines require an employee most of the time to complete transactions... The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because bless those poor employees who must me so overwhelmed dealing with so many customers at the same time. Really at that point the self service machines are completely reduntant. Just get more employees AND pay them properly!! What a lazy and inefficient tactic.

The lady who was working on the day welcomed me and advised me on everything, from what packaging to buy to how to send it away. She even helped me put the package in the packaging. Great service.

I had a great and easy experience and the staff was very helpful, friendly, and kind.
