We had a really lovely day, myself and two under 10's.
It was a dinosaur themed weekend, the kids loved it.
There's a large museum to look round, large softplay area, climbing walls, train rides, vintage fair ride and finally a gift shop.
Plenty to see and do with lots going on.

Brilliant place! So much to see and do for all ages. Trains, tram rides, an amazing collection of steam engines plus a superb soft play area and climbing wall for children. Refreshments are available and reasonably priced and there are plenty of very well appointed toilet facilities. We will certainly go again. Oh, and the entry price is also very fair.

A friend recommended a visit to the sweet Indian steam event at Statfold Barn Railway. Wow. What a place. We spent the full day there and we still have lots more to see and do. We will definitely be going back with the grandchildren.
Free parking and a low entrance fee. Plenty of toilets. Good food freshly made alongside grab and go items. A nice area to sit and eat in which is regularly cleaned. There is a small gift shop, with reasonable prices. A clean well lit static museum. Free rides on the steam trains with plenty of photo opportunities on and off the trains. There is a lot of walking, some with pathways, some without. A map of the site would be useful.
As a private collection, this is a hidden jewel.
Highly recommended, visit the website and plan a visit.
SBR thank you for a great day out.

Cute little railway. Absolutely chock filled with things for small and big kids to do. Definitely a place to take kids to wear them out.

We went here for their Party in the Park. It was clean, friendly and very well organised. Customer service seemed high on their priority list.
We are planning on attending their Halloween/fireworks display. See you there.

We attended the Road, Rail and Ale event. Fantastic show. Lots to see and do. Great value for money. Beer reasonably priced too. Also did the “driver for a fiver” and drove a steam engine! Great place to visit.

This was the second time we have visited Statfold Barn Railway at Christmas. It's a perfect half day out which actually represents great value for a Christmas experience.

Let me start with the Santa experience. The best I've seen! The grotto is decorated with great attention to detail, elves are friendly and engaging for the children and the Santa is perfect. Top outfit, super friendly and engaged making it a truly memorable experience for the kids. They do take pictures (to sell) but even let you take your own anyway so you aren't forced to do anything which is refreshing.

To keep this under an essay I will list the other great parts of the experience.. The steam train to the pole, staff (elves) and others are super friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there, cookie decorating, diggers, reindeer food bags, snow machines on arrival to the "north pole" and much more.

Great experience. Nothing negative to say. Thank you

Been to the Santa's Christmas Express, first visit ever, took grandchildren and had a wonderful experience. Staff all very helpful and polite. I felt very reasonable value for money. Not over sold, so not over crowded, very comfortable to get to all of the experience. Highly recommend
