This is an authentic cafe/deli, don't expect highly polished service. It is friendly and relaxed. Not a chain, but owner managed. A good pit stop having conquered primrose hill. More seats hidden in the back.

Unbelievable rudeness
I’m giving a star , because there is no lower rating available. The customer service in this café is awful and the staff is extremely rude, close minded and ignorant. Two young ladies serving customers the way they want it to be, and wouldn’t go even an inch extra to satisfy clients’ preferences. When I order tea I always ask my cup not to be completely filled with hot water, so ice cube or cold water can be added for immediate consumption. This was totally refused by both staff members in the rudest and degrading possible way and when I asked what the complaint procedure is they said that there is no such in place. I intended to speak to the owner, they cut me off and completely ignored me any further. I took a friend to this café (the rest were very busy and we couldn’t find any seats elsewhere) and it was supposed to be a pleasant time, as we haven’t seen each other since before first pandemic. The employees of Anthony delicatessen managed to shaken us both.
Hey, Anthony, I appreciate the difficulty to find decent staff, although, in such cases it is better to close the shop, instead of ruining people’s days and also, steadily building such bad reputation. Please kindly read the rest of the customer’s reviews.

Only one veggie option available food-wise (forget vegan), a plain panini overloaded with mozzarella and a few tomato slices... Extremely disappointed from a place with the word "delicatessen" in it. Definitely won't visit again!

Go for the toasted fresh Chicken escalope bun with tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese! Nice authentic place at Primrose.

Friendly staff and great, great coffee! I would recommend you grab one on your way to the hill. Their freshly made sandwiches are delicious. They also have lovely croissants and nice cakes.

I am very disappointed in how the delicatessen has deteriorated in the last couple of month. They have change a cosy corner with a few tables, and put some large fridge that almost empty , and some boxes.
This lovely delicatessen has turned into a dump.
The toilet is a disgrace, and the carpet has not been hoovered for a long time.
Some of previous staff were so lovely and friendly, and been replaced by unhelpful staff.

Excellent attentive service whether you eating in or taking it out. Quality food leaning towards natural beautiful ingredients. Definitely has a character!

Its ok but IMHO everything that is wrong with UK food culture. Why do average when you could do great? Especially when you are prime location and can charge higher prices? Seemingly staffed by 'saturday staff' with low interest/passion, kind of place that has a rich owner who pops in to trouser the cash but has long since given up being actively involved or driving high standards.

Ordered a panini to find you they do not have a panini machine. Ciabatta roll with a bit of ham and cheese zapped in one of those catering ovens for 1 minute. Limp and warm, no toasted edge, no crunch, no melting cheese taste. Coffee was ok. Left disappointed.
