Clarks

They were great exchanging my daughter's school shoes that had rubbed after only 3 days use - they re-measured her and discovered that the Bromley Clarks had measured her 1/2 a size too small and too narrow a width. So we got the right size and left very happy. They were even fine with the fact that it was a different branch of clarks that we had visited originally. Really impressed. And I like that they didn't use those iPads to measure her feet which always seem inaccurate.

The young dark hair girl has no customer service skills and pretends she can't honor a discount when exchanging a pair of defective boots bought on the sales (less than 28 days before). She thinks she has authority to play with the client and decide whatever she wants. Awful!

I phoned up earlier this week and was welcomed by a bright cheery young man who said that although the sizes I want were not in the store they have new stock every day and I might be as well to call back after 2pm. He was really upbeat, positive and helpful. On the other hand I phoned up today (late Friday pm) and a young girl answered and when I asked if they had the boot and sizes I wanted she said no. When I asked her if I could order she said no. In fact I struggled to get anything out of her at all and had to keep asking probing questions to get any form of understanding. She seemed very unsure of herself, kept stuttering and really wasn't too helpful at all. She did not volunteer anything at all. I asked her if she was the Manager ad she said no but she was the only one in the store right now or she was in charge today. I think I will choose West Wickham from now on

Went in to pick up some sandals but all of the staff members were engrossed in conversation with each other. When asked the sales lady, Holly, happily got me the shoes, but no assistance! Just handed them to me and went back to her conversation. I really needed some advice....grrrrrr

This is one of the nicest stores ever. The maturer staff are attentive and kind. The manager is fantastic. I think they need to work on the manners and customer service provided by the younger staff. The young man made a mistake with my order and as another reviewer stated, the younger staff just hand over your items when collecting. When I got home the boots were the wrong size. I returned them to the store and was served by the same young man who had made the incorrect order. I told him that he had made me return to the store as he had made the wrong order. Rather than apologise he just huffed and puffed and asked for my receipt. No apology for the incorrect order...no apology for the inconvenience of me having to return to the store....and I still have to return again to collect the correct item!

Great range of quality footwear. Excellent friendly service. Clark's shoes are not the cheapest but they are worth every penny. Edit: They also sell equally good brands.

I used to love shopping here, ladies were lovely and helpful. Now just young girls that couldn't care less and just want to stand at the till chatting. Waited 5 minutes , not a smile, nod or ask to help so I walked out and spent my money elsewhere. Very sad, won't shop there again

My last couple of visits there have been disappointing. The dark haired lady ( manager I assume) is rather rude. I asked questions about school shoes and wellies and she went to the back room and sent someone else to ask if I needed help - felt very uncomfortable and left. Will not be returning.
