Sofa.com Guildford

Well presented and laid out over two floors. The products are well made and the range is varied from contemporary to traditional styles. The shop is set up to deal with kids and has a coffee machine for customer. This is the main problem for me, we visited the store twice on the same day, the first was frustrating as there appeared to be only one person staffing the place so if you did want coffee or just ask questions about their products, forget it... we came back later and more staff were around so we were able to talk to someone.

An absolutely superb shopping experience! Pedro and his team (including the in house barista!!) couldn't do enough to help whilst we decided on style and fabric, giving invaluable design advice and guidance on what was likely to meet our needs. We had our two small children with us who were perfectly accomodated with the play area and tv showing Frozen and delighted with their parting gift of pencils and tape measures!

Wouldn't hesitate to go back to the guidlford store for any future sofa/furniture purchase.

Too expensive for me designer stuff. I get mine from sofa sofa in Wales. Lovely and comfy.

The delivery was earlier than I’d expected ( I didn’t wait 5 weeks) and the delivery guys were very good and efficient.

Went to Sofa in Guildford today, having been to a couple of places last week in Walton - a totally different experience, and much for the better! When we arrived, there was a short queue outside, owing to C19 safety protocols. When we were allowed in, we were asked to sanitise our hands and put on gloves/masks. Victoria (also masked), who had greeted us warmly, then asked us a few basic questions, re: our requirements. This allowed her to immediately narrow down the search with the aid of some simple but clever product cards (with which, to her credit, and our benefit, Victoria was obviously very familiar). After that, she led us around the showroom in a safe but 'natural' and unhurried way. As part of this process, we were allowed to measure and otherwise 'test' the various options, and before long, we had worked out exactly what we wanted. TBF, I would have put in the order there and then - I was sold, but my partner wanted to go home and double check measurements, etc. However, Victoria didn't push for the sale. I am fully expecting our 'at home' research to end in an order through this company. I really hope that's what happens - I haven't had such good up front service in a while, and these guys deserve the business, having made us feel so comfortable. Certain other 'premium' brands in Walton On Thames would do well to take a lead from Sofa...

UPDATE - 28.05.21 - We went ahead and ordered. Quick and easy online process, with swift email and SMS updates to follow. Learned that, less than two days after we placed the order, the sofas we bought were part of a sale. Emailed the company, and they agreed to refund the 10% difference - no obligation on their part, but they did it anyway without quibble. Nice touch, much appreciated! Sofas arrived yesterday. £50 to take away the old ones, which saved us a lot of hassle, so another win. The sofas are great - we never got to see exactly what we would be getting 'in the flesh', but expectations have been well and truly met, and probably exceeded. Also worth noting that we were orignally led to expect a 16-week turnaroud time - we got our sofas within six weeks of ordering. Assuming they don't fall to pieces overnight (!) I have to say I have been impressed with both the service in store , and the product since receipt.

Great customer service. Bought three sofas and very happy with them all. Excellent value.
